at first i thought it was my PC, but since i got fed up of playing the flash version today, i tried downloading it on another PC and found the same thing happening and is happening at all of their casinos. since this has been going on for a few weeks, you would of though that they would of realised that people have stopped signing up. |

Hi Scrollock,
We have looked into this as you are not the only one with a problem. All of the systems appear to working and we are not sure why the problem is affecting some customers and not all customers. During the download you are taken through an account registration procedure. Have you managed to complete this before the system hangs? Best regards, Belle Rock

I've been having the same problem... I've registered and all and got my username, but when the downloading and all is done, it just won't install the software. I ended up playing the flash casino instead.

Get the CD
BelleRock have a CD available (I have one).
The problem may be in the download helper. I have had many problems with MG casinos recently, often they do not update correctly with new games, they may spontaneously log off while playing and so on. I have recently had trouble with RiverBelle, but was able to install from the CD by copying the installation .exe from the CD onto my desktop and executing it directly by clicking on it. The CD interface is problematic, and is prone to hanging once the casino is installed. I have corresponded with some casino groups who have passed my comments to Microgaming, but they are still scratching their heads! I have done my own research, and browser settings seem to play a part in the operation of the casino, as I found when Playcheck stopped working in Explorer and the casino interface, but worked fine in Netscape! My main problem at present is that some casinos refuse to register that an update to games has been installed, and update the games again at each logon. Also I find the red dot and/or update progress bar appears after I have played and exited a game, however the game is still there and loads correctly if I select it again. I think MG are in danger of leaving players behind by pushing ahead with new development, but leaving these issues that affect some players unresolved. They will not correspond directly with players, and we have to go through our casino operators helpdesk, many of whom do not understand some of my test data, (shown as they repeatedly advise me to disable my firewall and virus checker and try again. This seems to be a standard scripted response, and is simply dodging the issue). Ask BelleRock, and any other groups that lead to problems, to send you the full install on CD. Some have a full install available on their servers (such as Casino Action Group). These are around 100Mbytes, and Broadband is advised! |

Hi All,
Thanks for the post Vinylweatherman, and you are right, we (Belle Rock) are still scratching our heads on this one as it is not a universal problem and seems to only affect some players. I am looking into an alternative to the download helper for those that are having difficulties and will let you know once we have something in place. We also have installation CDs available so should any of you want a CD sent to you, please let me know your details and I will have it sent ASAP. I will also raise this issue with MGS.Best regards, Belle Rock

If its of any help, i have a kinda related issue at Gaming Club. I went to play Golden Goose there for the first time and when it finished downloading the game, at 100% it just hangs. If i close down, reboot and go back, it just hangs on the game load so i can't get to it. Haven't tried other new games, but it sound similar to the post up above.
Cheers Simmo! |

If you have XP Service Pack 2 installed, this is likely to be the cause of the download problems, as the "helper" you are describing is the Active-X loader.
This is something Microgaming will obviously have to work on - but for BelleRock, what they could consider doing is changing to another download method which does not involve using the download helper, at least in the meantime. Your techs *should* know what that other method is, if not, they can ask some of their colleagues elsewhere who are still using this method. The price for this advice - fix your affiliate program to be fair to all affiliates. Follow the lead of some of the other programs who have seen how unfair their changes were to affiliates and are reverting back to the previous contracts.
