    Golden Palace WAKE Up! BABIES?

I thought it may be just a joke after the toasted sandwich incident.

    http://www.gamblog.co.uk/2005/05/gol...ing-babies.htm

    Then I clicked http://www.goldenpalaceevents.com/

No it isn't. WTF? Sorry GP. Crossed my line big time! Streakers or sandwiches may be funny but children into the equation? What idiots run your promotions?

Never mind. I will not promote you any longer.

    Children are precious.

    WTG, Deaning. Good for you.

Part of the fallout from Golden Palace's sabotage of the 2004 Athens Olympics was the following directive from the Kahnawake Gaming Commission:

Golden Palace will not use, promote, encourage or fund this type of ‘marketing’ ever again
    http://www.kahnawake.com/gamingcommission/

Presumably what amounts to a form of child abuse is as serious, if not more so, than sabotage of a sporting event.

Since Golden Palace have disregarded the above directive from the KGC, what censorship will the KGC be considering?

Anyone with an opinion on the subject would do worse than to drop them a line and sound them out.

Lets keep in mind that GP does pay it's winners. I still put them above a lot of other casinos discussed around here.

We have redirected all links to http://www.savethechildren.org/
They can have the next few thousands of visitors.

Golden Palace has been widely promoted by ourselves and we had been earning good money on the poker alone.

You cannot put a price on a kids head. GP have and wrong does not do justice to the utter thoughtlessness of the act.

If you want to play there then I hope your conscience at least gives you a good kick in the arse by sparing a thought for a kid having to face what is a tough enough battle already.

When and where did this appear? I'd like to check out this statement.

And Doctor Carlos, this has everything to do with online casinos (the title of this topic section). The way a casino chooses to market themselves has a direct correlation on how it conducts all forms of its business - to include player fairness and treatment. The eBay funny ha ha's are just about it - stupid funny, and it gets them exposure. But when it comes down to serious business, they lack credibility IMO. For instance, take a look at the auction that Casinomeister and Got2bet conducted last January for Tsunami relief. We raised $111,000 dollars with an auction that lasted 10 days - Golden Palace never made a bid, and believe me they new about it. The problem was that it wasn't something that was a funny ha ha.

Sure, some of the money that they pay for stupid things at eBay is supposedly going to charity - but there are other ways to do this without waving your arms screaming for attention.

Exactly. However I would also like to add that stunts like this one that Golden Palace has pulled off, does not put the industry in a good light, if anything it tarnishes the industry.

As casino portal webmasters, it is imperative that we ensure our visitors are informed of some of the more dubious activities carried out by casinos that in all intents and purposes can bring the industry under an unwanted spotlight.

Also I am a great believer in responsible gaming as should all online casinos be.

By buying the right to name a baby after an online casino in my view shows the disdain Golden Palace hold for responsible gaming. The message I am reading into this sick marketing ploy by GP is that the bottom line is the increasing of their profit margin and at any cost.

GoldenPalace just offered the opportunity to call a baby with their name, it was a decision of the parents to accept this!
They've been paid to do this, and maybe they needed that money!
I'm not saying such an advertising strategy is not sick, but actually anyone get its goal: GP made people talking of em, and the parents got the money...it's a winning strategy, this means that the whole advertising market is sick!
GP know that many gamblers do not approve such a decision, but they are trying to catch the attention of new clients, and they did (many newspapers reported the fact)!
BTW I've heard even worse name given to chidren for free!!!
