You can also turn the tutorial off for playing VP for entertainment. Great program! If you search it on Google, I'm sure you'll find it very easy. (it's not free though)

The H.E depends upon the paytable each casino sets, so can vary greatly between casinos. However on most reputable casinos using reputable software it is 0.46% assuming perfect strategy is played.

Bob Dancer has also produced a strategy card, with five different strategies on it (beginner, basic, recreational, transition, and advanced) so you can work your way up until you're playing the game perfectly. I bought mine from the gamblers bookstore in Las Vegas.

You can use the shareware version to practice JoB, or the expert mode at any Viper casino.
