Casino marketing
I noticed a sportsbook announcing "no bonuses" (it actually emphasizes on the bovine excrement part of it) and I was wondering if there was a casino who was avoiding the bonus promotion.
I think it is fair to say that an online casino is a profitable business and that most players complaints are related to bonuses. I understand the casinos use this promotional tool to compete with other casinos but I wonder if it wouldn't be better to avoid it considering the bad publicity it generates due to bonus abuse control. Wouldn't it be more profitable to offer a player who has just hit big a $5 free chip (or whichever amount based on marketing budget and player's standing) in exchange for posting the screenshot in a particular forum? I noticed a thread about gifts received from casinos. Personally, I would rather receive a pen or a simple email wishing me happy birthday, which is simple consideration, than being ignored but offered a bonus. I know some of you will call me stupid but if I really wanted to make big bucks, I would own a casino, not gamble. I'd rather deal with a business who treat me with respect, and not keep my funds in order to investigate my true identity or hire a detective to verify whether I am a bonus abuser or not. I send all my clients xmas gifts and my providers xmas cards and most of them do the same. But if my providers would offer their new clients better deals, I too might end up hunting different companies in order to get those benefits. A VP section should enlist the most regular players and offer benefits and all kinds of promotions. Instead of offering bonuses to anyone, the recipients should be carefully selected. We can all offer a promotion if it benefits us and take it back based on abuse when it benefits our client. This is not good business and actually poor marketing. My humble opinion. Max |

** Max Levine... where have I heard that name before?! *grin* Either way. I have been of the thinking lately about this a lot. What would make 'good' customer care AND marketing. Everyone wants to beat the bajeepers out of the casinos, but very few offer any sort of solution. I have asked for, and received a very specific 'gift' from my casino. They were TOO happy that I took time to interact with them! The bonuses...'leave something to be desired..' and that is the polite version of what I have to say!
Again. Instead of just pointing out how crap it is, why not tell them what you want?! Keeping in mind THEY don't know that your spouse/boss/family (etc) does not know you enjoy this "recreational sport"! It is great to see Max that you offer the 'I would rather have'. The customer is always right. I guess I am very old schooled in that. BUT if anyone Listened to Raphael Arnold when he addressed the 'masses' in Barcelona, they'd probably see the benefit in that too!**
