Casino On Net Player Age

I'm interested if anyone knows the laws regarding playing online casino's (specifically Casino On Net/888.com). They usually say you must be 18 to play. Is this true or do you still need to be 21? If it helps, I'm 20 and in Las Vegas and have been playing for free (turned 1k into 12k in about 2hrs on free play) and I'm thinking about throwing down a little bit of $$$ to test my luck. I just don't want to get into any trouble doing so.

I can highly recommend the Bally's 'Wild Party' slots. Consistently hit 100 and 500 $ wins over a period of around three hours, leaving about $7000 up. In fact, I meant to talk about this before. Every time I've been to Vegas, I've found that the hotel 'themed' machines seem to have far better payback than most others. The 'Monte Carlo' slots, 'Roman Rewards' in Ceasars etc.. They're usually the ones that give bars on the first coin, sevens on the second and a mini-progressive on the third. You need a reasonable bankroll to stay in the game, but they always seem to payback eventually.

Oooh... seems weird talking about slots that you actually stand in front of and drop big silver coins into!

IN FACT! THAT REMINDS ME!!! What is it with these Ez-Pay tickets all of a sudden??? Talk about taking the fun out of it! I used to love wandering around with a couple of buckets full of silver dollars, or the attendant coming over if I got lucky over $500. Not the same having a little coupon and wandering over to the cashier. I hit the $1000 wheel spin jackpot this year, and was rewarded with a little ticket plopping out of the side saying $1048. The cashier said well done, but it's not the same as having the cool hard green counted into your sweaty palm

i was 18 when i played there and got paid. this was about 4 years ago. not sure if it changed since then. email customer support there.

At least you don't have to tip the hand-pay clerk when they give you the money. My wife is so silly she wanted to tip $100 when she hit for $1000 on the Wheel of Fortune in AC. She wouldn't even give me $20. What a shocker. Do you tip on hand-pays?

Yep, but only if I've won! Never if the machine has messed up. It depends on the win how much really, I certainly wouldn't do $100 on $1000 - maybe give $20 there I reckon. In fact thinking about it, I did tip $20 when I cashed in, so didn't save anything there either.

I saw a really sweet $27000 progressive roll in on one of the Blazing Sevens carousels whilst I was there this time. The guy was a 21 year old student who'd played 18 bucks through it - he was SO excited!!! Got me to stand by his machine while he ran upstairs to wake his missus up.. she came down in her pyjamas

So while you are working hard at the BJ table, she is frittering away her money on the Wheel of Fortune. Assuming it was a 40:1 payout on a $25 bet, tipping $100 would increase the house edge from 24% to 32%.

Etiquette question for Miss Manners: How much are you supposed to tip on a 25c hand pay at Las Vegas airport?
