Im a fairly new player, joining there a few weeks ago. Firstly let me state they have wonderful customer support. Just to add to that, a lot of their games are awesome ie:incredible hulk, the mummy and fantastic four are my favs. So this is not a bash thread at all.

An issue came up where I deposited $50 last night. 95% of the time when Im playing, im multi-tasking so lots of times I miss when I hit something. Just last week a hit a couple hundred score and thought, hmmm maybe they added a bonus to my account. I better check with Nikki the support agent. So I ask her and she tells me nope I hit something on the slots. So I go and check the history and sure enough I got lucky.

Back to the story, the same thing happens last night. I deposit $50 and start playing, within 10 or so plays on the slots I realize my balance i up like $75. Im like cool I hit something small already. Since it happened the exact same time and there was no live support on at this time, I figure I wouldnt bother them. And really, I shouldnt be bothering them to see if I won anyways, that could get to be very annoying with them.

So Im truckin along playing the slots and over to roulette I go. Im having fun, hitting a few small bets, not losing money so I go back to slots (I always do this, its my style of play, roulette and slots mixed together)

I proceed to play fantastic 4 and hit the bonus round where I actually hit a nice score on a $2.50 bet (I won $330.00) on and on I go hitting little scores here and there. I finally get my bankroll to $688. I figure back to roulette I go. I lose $88 pretty quickly. So I think maybe I will cash out. As I start to think about it, I think what if they did add a bonus to my account? I better check.

Yup they sure did. I got a bonus. Ohhhhh great...so if thats the case, I have a lot of wagering to do before its released. I email omni to confirm I do have a bonus in place and proceed to tell them I didnt even realize it. Off to the T&C I go. Well low and behold I find this has game restrictions too. I cant play roulette and if I do by winnings can be voided. So now Im worried. I send them another email asking why they just add one to my account and why i dont have to enter any kind of code. I think its sort of unfair.

Im pretty certain I usually get a pop up telling me I recieved a certain amount of money bonus and I dont remember seeing that at all.

Nikki wrote me this email this morning:

It’s my pleasure to assist you.

You did receive a bonus of CAD85 after making your deposit of CAD50.

Once you have accepted this bonus you are required to complete the wagering requirements (35 times your deposit & bonus amount on allowed Slot games) before you are allowed to withdraw any winnings.

You are required to wager an additional 3,384.05 on allowed slot game to complete this bonus.

As mentioned to you in the past, we do have the ability to block your account from receiving these deposit bonuses. This will mean that in the future you will deposit and play any game of your choice without restrictions.

Kindly respond and let us know if you wish to have your account blocked from these automated bonuses.

With regards to the bonus in your account, this cannot be removed at this point since you have already played with it.

If you do not wish to complete the outstanding wagering requirements of 3,384.05 you may withdraw your CAD50 deposit and the outstanding balance will be automatically voided. You may then cancel this withdrawal and will be able to play with your CAD50 and no bonus.

Once again, kindly let us know if you wish to have your account blocked from these deposit bonuses.

I look forward to hearing from you.

With kind regards,

Nikki

So I spoke to her via live chat and we agreed to disable these random bonuses and she is forwarding my situation to the manager. I was wondering what are your thoughts here>? Should all bonuses have to be entered by a certain code? Should they just take back the $85 bonus and let me continue on?> Should they confinscate my winnings? Should they understand and give me a one time "we understand the confusion, lets not let it happen again"?

What do you think of this?

Sorry its so long. I wanted to get most of the details included as I could

When you get an automatic deposit bonus, it is added either immediately or when you open the first game. Since support states they did not add a bonus, then it must have been automatic.

Therefore, you obviously did not notice your balance before you played. Given you state you multitask, then its probably what happened.

If you don't pay attention to what you're doing, then these situations can happen. It certainly is not the casinos fault. If you check your cashier history, you can see the exact time your bonus was added. Perhaps you could post that here to settle the issue.

If the bonus was added after you played for a while, then you have a case. Otherwise, you don't.

Most Playtech casinos have a little popup window right after you deposit that says something like "Congratulations, you're eligible for a bonus of $$$ - Click to accept or deny." and you have to click the button to accept it. I'm pretty sure that the focus is on the 'accept' button, so even if you hit the enter key on your keyboard you've accepted it.

The pressing enter makes sense because usually when I play Im typing emails to clients and writing up bills and what not.

I still have to wager like $3000 to clear the bonus so its not like I waited to see if I came out a winner or not. I wrote to them as soon as I found out and hopefully because there is so much wagering left and Im new and yadayada, they will understand and let me continue with it.

This is one of the reasons why I am so anti-bonus. You were doing something and playing innocently and now you have to meet some wager requirement. I consider the fact that you were even ABLE to miss the bonus alert/popup/notification as an example of poor game and interface design.

The best of luck on clearing your WR.

Umm if theres still a ton of wagering to go, wouldnt it be easier to go along with what they suggested?

I presume this means that you can start anew again with the $50 you deposited?
