yup....you won entry to the 3K survivor tournament.
q stands for qualifier, afaik (afaik stands for as far as I know, afaik)
By failing to prepare you are preparing to fail.

You won free entry into the corresponding tourney. Kinda hard to explain since i dont know what particular tourney it was so ill give an example.

I entered the Hitman Weekend Whopper Q1 and came 11th. I wasnt quite sure what happened next so i waited till the weekend. I was still in the top 20. I looked for the weekend whopper touney and found 10k weekend whopper which was now a loaded tourney. It also said $15 entry. I clicked and got in free. I completely bombed in this one though and i refuse to pay for continues in a free tournament.

So, your prize was free entry into a tourny that usually costs $15. This also explains why the prize money on the Q1 tourneys are $450 . ($15 entry for top 30 players = $450)

The problem is however that anyone else can pay the $15 to get in the same tourney and there are a lot of players who will buy continues just to get to the top. So if you actually want to win anything you will have to shell out $10 each time for all five continues. Your best bet in any of these tourneys are the *one shot* . they cost $2 mostly but everyone has an equal chance of winning without the greedy people trying to buy there way to the top.

    Hope that helps.

I,ve came 2nd 3 times in $250 freerolls. All on ladbrokes. Also recently won $50 bonus for coming 44th in a celebration free roll on 32red which i cashed out over 300 on after the PT reqs were done. Now that ive deleted all my desktop casinos apart from 32red (the only MG desktop suite that dosnt make my antivirus go nuts) i only play the 32 red tourneys now. Not been doing too well past few days usually coming nowhere at all. But i've been getting into the one shots. Basically you just need a good feature to pretty much guarentee cash prize.

I still doubt the legitamacy of some players in these things though. maybe just paranoia but i cant see how some of these scores are possible especially by the same players every time. I can understand having a good game and hitting a big hit now and again but almost every tourny? But i still love these tourneys. Gives a bit of playtime without running through the bankroll whilst still feeling like your playing for something.

Wish there were more 32 Red CM exclusive ones though....hint hint :P

Actually that what puts me off Tourneys> I thought of figured out that's what the 'continue' button was for. So someone with a big bankroll - can keeping buying in over and over again, which makes it pretty hard for us that are on a budget.

So there are one shot tourneys? No rebuys? No continues? Those are the kind of tournys I could get into where everyone has an equal chance

Yup. Look for the ones that have the red *target* in the top right corner. They are usually $1 or $2 entry and top 5 win cash. Its a good gamble since the winning scores are usually very achievable if you get a good hit or two. If not you only wasted a couple bux at most.
