anyway @ plastic, that was a joke right? :P
If not: property is something that will never be totally worthless, stocks however are hot air...
My opinion ( which has been proven more then once in several bank and finance scandals)
I think gambling is even more lucrative then stocks!
(not that there isnt a humongous amount of money made on it daily)
This is not a joke. property can be worthless too. Also, you have to consider the cost of council fee, interests on loan, maintenance etc.
For long term the Oz property ROI is much lower than Oz stocks.

Ofcourse, high return is high risk...

    Just my 2 cents

That could be , but lets just say you buy a villa, there would have to be some heavy problems for you to lose the total worth
    it represents.
Thats about it imo, and the loan and council fee should represent only a small amount, maintenance could be costly, but should be
returned in form of rent, living comfort (if you live there yourself) or when its sold.
Not saying your wrong to invest in stocks or anything.. just that its not my cup of thea, and property is much steadier, less riskier and
can provide you with a nice (extra) roof over your head

    /end off topic ^^

At least Sunny decided to really invest his winnings on something solid. Many have an uncontrollable urge and play back most of it in no time. At least he is level-headed to think in the right direction undoubtedly assisted by his wife of course.

Sunny, I hope your villa quadruples in value but before you sell it invite some of us over to spend a holiday, all-expenses paid of course.

I am in awe, that's an incredible stroke of luck. I'm sure the casino will be happy to invite you back and treat you well.

I'm curious when you are playing $25 a spin, what's your goal to stop playing? Broke? Down $1000, up $2500 or more? Hit a bonus round, whether it's a good one or not?

I tend to agree that property can rarely lead to a total loss of your investment, unless almost all of it is mortgaged at too high a rate.

Now now boys... You are both right in your own way... I know as I do both. But having said that with property you CAN make a decent chunk based on what kind of property you buy. As for my wife and I we normally buy investment properties near the city (not too close not too far) and measure it upto the rental returns. We have properties currently paying for themselves on their rental returns only (young professionals) and the good thing is when they are paid off in 20-30 years time, their value would have quadrupled. The market maybe down now but this is the best time to invest in property because of the fact people are dropping prices to sell ....and sit on it... Same logic as any stocks. So, to sort of agree with you both I guess you should buy bluechip-property , which we did

Hi Jasmine... Thank you ! ... Only the casinos can tell you how I play lol. One thing I never do is chase bonuses... Let me rephrase ... I like to get bonuses/free spins but I don't think it's a good habit to chase bonuses personally ... Because we all know that's a killer... How many times we have had some win and then we go "one more free spin/feature " and lost it all .... My logic behind betting big is purely social.... Although I love gambling, I can't just sit in 1 slot machine for hours while my friends are at the bar having fun.... My logic is ...get in ...go hard ...go home ... If you hit something , you win Big.... If you don't, it's probably not your day and you will keep losing anyways

    GL to you all

Thanks chuchu ... I was actually thinking yesterday after all this heightened adrenalin rush... What can I do for my fellow gamblers ... I'll tell you what ... It's an open promise to all the good people here in the forum.... If I EVER hit anything over 100k in an online casino ( and withdraw it ) .... I will organize a sum of free credits for members here with the casino of my choice... I haven't worked out the little details of how much per person...what casino etc.... But I will !!! .... I am a big believer in what goes around comes around ... It worked for me all my life

I was just joking Sunny. However, if you do get that mega-hit you might wish to donate to some worthwhile cause. Even in this forum there were a slew of donations to tsunami victims in 2006 and to the Ted Loh Fund last year. Considerably better than feeding us diehard gamblers who should fork out their own money for gaming.
