While I'm sure it hurts to hit a big win on a free chip, you wouldn't have had any withdrawal without it, and might not have even made the playthrough without a big hit.

Personally, I understand why casinos cap wins with ND bonuses, it helps in their economic planning. And I'm happy enough to play any I'm offered, even small ones.

In fact, a max cashout of $50 will see me cashing out $50 on a $5 freebie if possible, while I'd probably lose it trying for more if not for that max cashout!

I'm not overly fond of max cashouts (I've seen 2x chip) on cashback type bonuses which require a losing deposit to receive the free chip, and they are not an enticement for me to deposit.

And personally, I know I'd probaby cry if I hit my first RJ with a max cashout of a small sum. But I'd get over it and be glad I won something without depositing that particular time.

I do believe the software is not rigged, and doesn't know if you are playing on a free chip or not. And I believe that each spin is random, if I hit one RJ, it doesn't use up my "luck quotient" for my next deposit. Now I can't prove it's fair any more than those that believe it is not, but at least I don't feel like a fool for playing somewhere I believe is rigged.

I think I'm about 7 years in and I have yet to win anything there. Hmmmmfffff. I wonder which deposit will finally be "the one".

Tom is cool and patient with me and my rants. He sometimes throws me a bone and I appreciate it. Still, however, most sessions leave me scratching my head and wondering.

I actually find my self hoping I don't hit the big one because it would really tick me off.

With my mind it would not work. I would rather loose 50 bucks than going for years how I won a RJ and could not keep it. So it comes down to peace of mind for me. ... I have yet to hit one in over 12 years, and if I hit on that, I would be beyond mad.

I almost always try to play games where the jackpot is barely over $1000. Then it's just enough to make the wagering, no problem.

I have withdrawn less than max on free chips, because if I could have withdrawn and redeposited and then hit it, then I would be majorly pissed, not at the casino, but at myself.

For RTG players that want to avoid that scenario, try the classic slots.

Try this on for size....I was playing at Inet with a free chip (Christmas bonus) and for the first time in SIX YEARS, hit a random jackpot of $3800 on T-Rexx. Go figure. You're right, it's enough to make you wanna cry. I was able to cash out $1100, so all was not lost, but......just sayin.

I love the classics, but due to my arthritis, I find it easier to play games I can spin with my space bar. I just can't sit there and click the mouse for hours. They could at least ad auto play to those! I play for 15 minutes, then go out and have a smoke, grab a beer, or whatever. I needs my auto play. I have won some of my best wins while either smoking or sleeping.

I know some of the above points are actually not relevant to this thread but at the end of the day - Is it really worth it?

IMPO - NO - Casinos have become tighter by other means and at the end of the day its all about how much they can scoop.

Players already have the house edge against them and further obstacles like Max Wd's on free chips, Max Wd's per week, Max Wins and long pending periods are given to them.... Shameful IMPO!!!!

It is such a pity that they would never put a limit on how much you can lose.

Since I am coming off a great Club World experience, let me add the dissenting view.

Went to Club World Casino to play a $75 free chip VIP bonus. Didn't win. Ok....

Then I took advantage of the 100% match play bonus that accompanies the daily VIP free chip. What I like is that its 100% match (sometimes higher, but usually 100%) and the playthough requirement is only 15x with no max cashout.

    see typical message below..........

    Promotions Manage

    Event Rules:
    • Both bonuses can be played on any of our games
    • The free chips must be wagered two (2) times before a withdrawal is permitted
    • The maximum cashout from this free bonus is 10 times the bonus amount
    • If the deposit coupon is claimed, the deposit + bonus must be wagered fifteen (15) times before withdrawing
    • In both cases the bonus chips are unredeemable and their value will be deducted from the associated withdrawal
    __________________________________________________ _____________________________________

So, I make a $300 deposit + $300 match bonus = $600 to play with x15 wagering requirement. Decide to play Paydirt and promptly run it up to $7,500 with some well timed large bets that hit some nice bonus rounds.

"God, I love Club World Group"

Would I like to see some changes such as larger weekly w/d limits ,etc? Yes. But it is still a great option for US based players. Last few w/d were approved within 2 business days and then within 2-3 days of approval the w/d amount was returned to my cc (paymycard) for only a $9 fee.

    FWIW,
    Diane
