Technical - visual explanation of how casinos shuffle cards.

I just came across this new little demo on Hacker News. It's technical and geared toward explaining the logic to programmers, but it has some nice little animations to show the process. This explains the Fisher-Yates shuffle, which is the algorithm most casinos use to shuffle a deck of virtual cards. Keep in mind the random source has to be unbiased for it to work fairly... but this explains how a computerized shuffle is done in the shortest period of time without biasing the deck, once you have a truly random source. It's fun to watch, anyway
