Streaking...
Ahh... Lady Luck can be a vicious and generous maiden!
Went online with the mindset to gamble for a couple of minutes and make a little money. Hit a horrible streak, lost about $900. Did everything I could to "break" the streak, including switching games. At one point the streak was so bad that out of $255 wagered, I lost $225. Took a quick break, figuring that the "couple of minutes" will now be an hour. Sat down again. Same thing - except in reverse. Made BACK the $900, plus $100 more. At one point the streak was so GOOD that out of $860 wagered, I made $832.50. Point? None, really. Except that we've all had Lady Luck smile or frown upon us, and she is as fickle as the wind. |

well, I´m neither cynical nor pessimistic - it´s just what will happen on the long run. That´s why you should STOP at this stage BEFORE you´ll lose the money again (and probably more than just your winnings). Just be happy about your winnings so far and do not try to make "just a couple of bucks more" .

lanidar - he WILL LOSE IT ALL there´s simply no way to turn the house edge into a player edge (exept by using bonuses of course...)

Lemme guess, you're from Jersey, right?yeah...taking a nice break from online gaming. Last couple of days have been really good...but tumultuous. Had another session after the aforementioned where I hit a bad streak, went down, then made it all back - plus some. Lukas, your advice is of course good - but wouldn't it apply to every casino game? Except for perhaps VP, where perfect play could garner you a return of over 100%, or poker, where there IS some skill involved. |
