Something i dont get about RTP..

Hey guys..i read a few threads about this but dont quite get it yet..

Says im playing slots and its obvious that my RTP is horrible...no features...no free spins..etc..and say i'm playing a high variance game...if i go and play a low variance one will it even make a difference if my average RTP is LOW? IF my RTP at that time at the casino is low why would it matter if i change games?

Also what if when i can see that my RTP is low i simply log out and try again the next day? Will that matter?.. How does it work exactly?..not sure if i explained what i mean correctly...

    Thanks.

Every spin on every game is independent. The RTP ("Return to Player") is a setting for each slot game and is the long term expected return. A higher variance slot game simply means you will have to wait a lot longer to determine the "average" or to hit a big payout. Perhaps several million spins.

So it doesn't matter which slot you play, what day you play it, which casino you play it at, each spin has the same chance as the previous one of delivering the desired result.

The higher the variance of the game the longer the losing streaks can be. Think of it like playing the lottery vs. playing roulette. Playing the lottery you could wait a lifetime (or more likely longer!) for a win but if you do it will be a huge sum of money. But each week, your odds are the same even if you choose different numbers. If you bet on a roulette number every day you won't have to wait long for a win but when you do, it won't be an awful lot of money. But again, what number you choose and which day you play makes no difference to your chances of winning.

That is exactly correct. The illusion of low RTP settings are a result of most if not all players being only short term players / sessions.
