I usually avoid playing them, not because of any buy in costs which I would happily pay to play if all chances are fair but they are usually not. Many tournaments its usally 999 rebuys or 99 continues or some such nonsense which essentially means only the people with deep lined pockets can continue to play and win unless your immensely lucky. Once again 32Red raise the bar, this time in the tournaments.

I would actually play these "endurance" tournaments if I wasn't repeatedly disconnected and lagged. It is because this type of tournament requires "deep pockets" that I don't want to invest heavily only to have my chances ruined because I fall irretrievably behind due to a spell of disconnects and lagging.

With plenty of time to play each session, this is almost not a problem unless a disconnect is so bad that it is impossible to reconnect within an hour. With most, even a PERFECT connection is simply not enough time to get through the spins allocated, so even the slightest incident of lag is enough to fall irretrievably behind, and slope the field in favour of players that have not suffered degradation of their link to the server.

MGS are either completely clueless, or they are DELIBERATELY setting this "fault" for some reason, and thus have no intention of fixing it.
