Tried a mobile casino for first time

Platinum Play mobile it was. Accredited casino etc, play with them on normal download casino and they sent me an invite for the mobile casino so thought I would try. Pretty good fun. It worked reasonably well (Iphone 4) but there was a bug in thunderstruck - I got disconnected on the final free spin every time I got free spins! Had to relogin and go back to the game to continue, a bit of a pain. The other slots and games worked great tho. Small points - no way to track wagering of a bonus like download casino - I had to request a callback to find out how much WR I had left for the bonus I took (but lady that called was very helpful). Initial withdrawl method was set to cheque and I could not see any way to change this. Lady told me I could login to website and change it that way on my normal PC which worked.

Overall not bad and it did work reasonably well, I will keep it on my phone for when I am bored on a train, anyone else play these things?

    .

I would never use my mobile phone for gambling, but that is mainly because I have an old phone that sucks

    Anyway.

Yes, the market for mobile gambling is exciting. H2 Gambling Capital have recently launched "Comprehensive Mobile Gambling Report" (in depth analysis of the mobile gambling market over the last 12 months). As you can see from their Share by Product , gaming (casino) had a 16% share in 2010. More info from their report:

    MobileCake.JPG

The value of the global mobile gambling market for 2010 was €2.22bn with the Japanese Racing Association (JRA) accounting for almost 57% of this. However, it is expected that the equivalent share this year could be as low as 40% following the earthquake and the strong growth of the channel in other markets. Gross Gambling Yield (GGY) is forecast to grow at a CAGR of 19.3% to €5.4bn by the end of 2015.

    10-15.JPG

Traditionally betting has made up the majority of the mobile gambling market at 76.74% of global GGY, this has largely been driven by the Japanese Racing Association (JRA) which is by far the largest mobile betting operator in the world. However, over the next five years product market share is going to shift towards gaming and lotteries as technology develops to allow players an experience rivaling that of traditional interactive devices such as PC and Laptops.

Betting currently accounts for 76.74% of the global mobile gambling market with gaming accounting for just under 16.5% and lottery 6.78%. This is forecast to change to 50.48%, 39.82% and 9.7% respectively over the next 5 years.

Now is the time for mobile gambling - as with regulating markets the race is on to be the top contender. History has shown that the first movers making the most informed decisions ultimately gain the strongest foothold and the highest revenues.

there was only a couple of slots, a blackjack game, a roullete game and some scratchcard type stuff but aside from the thunderstruck bug it seemed to work reasonably well.

I ended up playing mostly mermaids millions, felt identical to the proper microgaming version!

You could play mega moolah on it btw, imagine trying to stifle yourself if you won the big one on a bus/train!

My biggest hits on Thunderstruck have all come on mobile casino (Ladbrokes). Have had £500 hits for 90p bets. Shame I never knew if it was possible to do screenshots? (HTC Desire and Sensation)
I also suffered the same problems, although with Mermaids Millions and Tomb Raider as opposed to Thunderstruck, which never crashed.

I played Ladbrokes (same software, Spin3) and 32Red about 2 years ago. On the train. Tunnels. Frustrating

I decided then that personally I would rather wait til I got home or had a laptop handy as connectivity was generally flaky while travelling. I play from hotels every now and then but use my Netbook. Can't play while you fly obviously and that aside, I am rarely more than an hour or two away from a computer anyway.

As I said in one of my posts - mobile gambling has great potential. I could reveal some stats in our traffic:

Flash Games (Instant Play) - 34%
    HTML5 (iPad, iPhone) - 59%
    Android, Blackberry - 7%

I am not sure about Platinum Play but I played the Jackpot City Mobile casino SUB and was able to login with my mobile account details to the download casino. So if you need to see the remaining WR or some other details you could simply try to login to the Platinum Play download client with the mobile casino details and in addition you would also get a larger variety of games and faster playthrough (meeting the whole WR with a mobile phone might be a bit tedious IMO).
