    RTG-Reels Sticking

Can someone tell my why this happens. It only happens with RTG casinos, but your playing and then the reels stick for a second or two. It has been happening everytime I play. It is always worse right after an update.

At first I thought it was my laptop, but it isn't. I have had other people tell me the same thing is happening to them. None of us can figure out why. It has never happened to me at 3dice, just RTG casinos and it happens no matter whay game you play.

Does anyone know why this is happening and/or if there is a way to fix it?

    Thanks.

Sometimes opening windows media player or a rival casino in the background does the trick, if it's the same problem I sometimes have.

Otherwise, it could be the individual servers.

I open an MG casino and it seems to work better than Windows Media Player.

But if it's after an update, is it possible that something in the background is still updating while you're trying to play?

By "stick" do you mean you hit spin and there's a lag? or try to stop them with the same delay? I often like to "speed click" (for lack of a better term meaning: spin/stop spin/stop etc as fast as I can in an attempt to reach the feature- note: not for the timid) If this is what's meant by sticking, I have made some observations with this occurance:

    1) It is limited to RTG as you mentioned
    2) it is NOT your comp or connection speed due to:
    a. opening another RTG site (more on which, see #6) produces fast responses
    b. ping times to and from either fast or slow casinos are fairly equal
    c. for whatever reason, it's the time at the casino server that is delayed

    3) Rogue casino groups are particularly prone to this anomaly while accredited casinos are far less afflicted- but not immune

    4) Deleting cookies, remove/reinstall program has no impact on this delay

    5) My win percentage seems to decrease substantially and on sites where the reel speed is slow as well, it even seems worse (pal o chance exhibits this behavior quite often, for one) - this is subjective, though

    6) I've rarely experienced this phenomena at CM endorsed RTG casinos.

*I haven't noticed any correlation to updates- But i'll be more aware and observant now

There are a couple more things I suspect but are totally without supporting experience, so those are on the shelf until I expand my trials- could be a long wait as i avoid the casinos that exhibit these symptoms.

So long as we're on the subject, another thing I've had happened is the apparently random occurence of the reels spinning at a regular pace when outta nowhere you'll get a rapid-fire turbo spin or two in the mix. I suspect it may have something to do with a software security measure and again this only happens at RTG. any thoughts on this, anyone?

Disclaimer......of course, on the other hand I could be full of chit and making connections that don't exist. Tough to get a true result when sampling one click at a time. I'll take whatever verbal abuse I may deserve on this one. And if you meant something different by "sticking" then, sorry! nevermind!

OK Kidice. I couldn't help noticing you talked about Palace of Chance in your post. You are aware that they are one of the very worst casinos out there, right? Or do you just not keep up with Casinomeister's rogue casino list? Watch your back with them, or preferably don't even play there anymore! If you have a problem, they are on the "no can do" PAB roster. And you WILL eventually have a problem with them.

[QUOTE=kidice;437802]6) I've rarely experienced this phenomena at CM endorsed RTG casinos.QUOTE]

I only have CM recommeded RTG casinos installed on my laptops.

By "stick" I mean literally stick in mid spin. I have snag it and will record my play next time so everyone can see what I am talking about. It is very noticable.

I have tried opening rival powered casino this afternoon, and it still did it. I also tried the media player and it still did it. It doesn't do it everytime but it does do it quite often.

I was reading another forum where someone had the same thing happen, and they thought it was because the casino was switching servers. And when it did happen they noticed they could not win anything afterwards.

I am not sure about that, I can only speak from my own experience. But this is something I will look for the next time I play.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I appreciate it.

Whoever told you it was the casino switching to the "lose" server is in fairy land.

I find one CWG casino does what you describe, but the others are fine.

It must be an internet problem, or an issue with particular computer configurations. If it was the casino server then everyone would be having the same issue.

That is not what I said, I said I read it on another forum. I didn't say I belived it. I said I wasn't sure about that but would watch out for it.

As for internet problems, I have road runner turbo so I don't think it is that. How can I tell if it is a configuration problem? I do not know much about how computers work.

well, yeah, i knew i'd be stirrin things up. my gut tells me I'm full o' crap and my gut is rarely wrong. but it's always educational throwing my misguided opinions out there for feedback.

(yes, Jod- knew about Palace O Crap long before seein it listed here. Never have dep there & never will- just use the nodep chips for testing strategies [not systems, 100% agree with the meister on that] and hopefully makin playthrough to waste their time a lil- I'll even whine and complain just to mess with 'em, they deserve it!)
