    Ive lost my life savings

Ive lost my life savings $4000 and now ive just got accepted with a credit card with a $2000 limit and I intend on gambling it all to win my money back.

Wish me luck, im going down the slippery slope to hell but losing angers me so much at this time I dont care if I go homeless.

I canceled the credit card app, bloody online things its so easy.

I actually lost close to £2000 so it isnt quite $4000 but still its lots, Im really annoyed and probably wont ever get over it but.

Cant change the past, just gonna start again.

Whats really annoying is I been really lucky, only £500 was savings money I been winning on every casino with bonuses, winning loads not bonus exploiting or anything just playing normal, loads of casinos.

Then I go give all I got to my regular casino - www.willhill.com.

Nevermind it wasnt really all savings Im not angry now just in denial I think.

How come you dont have the UK casinos lised on the site surely they arnt all that bad .

Thanks for the site, I think ill be ok I just wrote that in temp super anger. Good job I didnt have more money I would have lost whatever I could access I was so annoyed. Or I suppose I could have won it back.

Red come up 13 times in a row that lost most of it, stupid doubling trippling up.

I think one of the hardest things about gambing is trying to stop getting the money back after busting out. It does make you mad because you're thinking 'oh I should have played this way' or 'if I'd only made that bet'. So you think that you can go back and correct the mistake with another deposit and get back that hard loss.

Unfortunately, this usually leads to another bad loss because we're probably taking more of a risk, or using hunches rather than strategy at that point. I'm sure we've ALL done it before, and felt like crap afterwards (been there, done that). The best way I've found to prevent that in the future is this: after you get wiped out in a session, and you're angry and thinking you're going to make another deposit and 'get even', stop for a second and think back to how you bad felt after that last hard loss, and how much WORSE you felt after trying to chase it. Then force yourself to close the program, shut off the computer, and do something (anything) else.

Today is not always a good day to die Mr Worf, live to fight another day! (I don't have a Klingon keyboard, so I had to use english, sorry!)

In my experience, the biggest enemy of a gambler is his ego.

When I lose, my ego takes over and tells me, "those bastards can't do that to me, I'll deposit more, make up my losses and then some. That'll show them." Not a good plan.

On the other side, when I have been on a super hot streak, my ego will convince me that I can win any bet, anywhere. That thinking has wiped out large portions of some pretty good wins in the past.

I have found that the best way to stay ahead is to formulate a plan when you are far removed from the field of play and stick to it while you're playing. The urge for revenge or the feeling of invincibility tend divert you from the plan, causing you to make some terrible decisions. Emotion is not a gambler's friend but I know it's awfully hard to control.

I'm getting better at sticking to the plan regardless of the what happens during the playing sessions. Even though I still slip and let my gut (heart, intuition, whatever) guide my play at times, the better I get at controlling the impulsive behavior, the fewer nights I spend laying awake cursing myself for making such bad decisions and either losing additional deposits chasing losses or giving back large chunks from those winning sessions.

    Stay cool and good luck.

    I'm not preaching

Hope the above post didn't sound preachy. I could just SOO relate to Worf's first post I had to share my experience/philosophy.

I have always kept to one piece of advice I read when I started with online gambling. Never deposit more, than you can afford to loose. That way, you can maybe better accept to lose and not start throwing good money after bad...

Like everybody I have made some terrible bets but since I only play for the initial deposit I have never lost any huge amounts (think stupid bets has cost me approx. 1000$ in all during over a year of gambling - most of which was money I had won in the same sessions I lost them).

Even very experienced gamblers should look at themselves once in a while and see if there is any sign of danger (like that creditcard you were writing about, MrWorf... THAT is a sign of danger and NOT a place you want to go!!)
