    Question Multiple Accounts Help Please

Hi Folks I Need a little input on duplicate casino accounts. I would like to know what it is that actually validates abuse in regards to this.

I, over the last 17 years as casinos started popping up everywhere I unknowingly opened several accounts at numerous casinos, trying their software etc. And many times most recently on signing up at a casino found that I have already had an existing account at this casino under a different user name.

For the record; Presently I’m far more knowledgeable and extremely selective in my choice of online gaming. As such before I sign up with any casino I check them out thoroughly and immediately go into live support and have them search for any prior accounts opened in my name. Nine times out of ten I already have an account and sometimes more than one. When this happens support usually informs me of each account closes all but one and leaves one active for me to use.

So now with all this talk about player abuse and the ability for the casinos to withhold your winnings on the fly. I have a couple of questions please.

    1. Is the fact that I may have "had" multiple accounts a valid reason to withhold
any withdrawing that I might request at this time or in the future?

    2. Is the mere fact that I have existing accounts a reason to be blacklisted from any
future player accounts with other casinos or refused a withdrawal, even if those
accounts were never deposited into or withdrawals requested. Most I ever did was
possibly used free play or the casino's welcome free chips bonus to play.

    3. This is the Biggie question??? Can a casino refuse to pay out to a player who has
multiple accounts user names even if the information entered at the time of
registration regarding that player is true and correct for that time. (we are military
and move often so addresse etc changed). Note: All preexisting accounts were in my
name with my own personal information that was true and correct at that time.

    4. Does having multiple accounts that contain no deceptive information;
considered player abuse or fraud by any manner?

Appreciate inpute on this subjct please.

This has happened to me before as well.

I am alot more selective now about casinos than when I first started out (im sure this holds true of a good number of folks here). So when I first started out I was opening up casino accounts left and right.

In my experience, as long as you are upfront, honest, and explain the situation, you shouldn't have much of a problem. Just don't expect cooperation from any of the rogue casinos.

As an example, I found out that I had 2 accounts at one of the Club World group of casinos. They simply closed one of the duplicates, and I had no issues getting paid from them.

It would be far easier if you just tell us about the problem you are having.

In general though, my answers would be:

    1. No, as long as the casino has closed all other accounts beforehand and given you the all clear to continue your play.

    2. Yes. If you create multiple accounts within a casino group, you may well be banned from all casinos in that group. Also, some casinos may subscribe to an industry database of known multiple account/bonus abusers. If you intend to play somewhere and you have any inkling that you might have had an account there, you should always obtain clearance in writing. The part about "Most I ever did was
possibly used free play or the casino's welcome free chips bonus to play" is a red flag for me, and most likely for the casino too.

    3. Yes. Players are only allowed one account. You cannot create a new one just because you marry or move states etc. It's a no-brainer really.

    4. Yes, if there are multiple accounts involved (not legally but from the casinos point of view before the backyard lawyers jump all over me....) and you have deposited or claimed a bonus on any of those accounts. As per above, if you move then you need to update your existing account and not open new ones.

You will find that every casino will deny winnings if you have more than one account, and this is contained in every casino's terms and conditions.

Without knowing the full story (and there is obviously one to be told), I would say you are screwed.

When my computer died recently I had to reinstall the casinos on my new one. If you don't remember your username(s) you used to have to write support or get on chat to get it. But MG has this cool thing now where if you don't remember your account name/number you click the link, it sends you a mail with a link to a secure page where you can find your account number and/or change your password.

I went to install Ruby Fortune and when I clicked to get my username I discovered that I had 2 real accounts, one hadn't been accessed since 2006. I went to chat and told them, they looked and said, "Huh, you're right, we'll close the old one."

So if it's just a simple mistake, most casinos don't have an issue and will close old accounts. I think the main issue that they have is people signing up with multiple accounts and using big SUBs or ND chips. If you've got multiple accounts and they've all been opened within a particular time frame, or if you've taken signup bonuses or free chips in more than one account, you're screwed.

I actually dont have any issues at hand. I just try to keep informed consistantly on everything where terms and conditions are in question. I have never been blocked or locked from any casino for any reason. Those I play at now i have cashed out at on many occasions, with no problems.

    In Regards to>>>>
Most I ever did was possibly used free play or the casino's welcome free chips bonus to play" is a red flag for me, and most likely for the casino too., It is what it is, there was never any attempt to defraud anybody on my part. As with a large percentage of players we do and should test the waters. As long as I made and never have attempted to cash out or withdraw Im not understanding your mentatlity of this "RED FLAG" thing. My point here is, that fraud it the legal sense is defined as "deliberate deception" Therefore the mere act of creating a user name such as "BillClinton" might be indictative of an attempt to be President Bill Clinton it is immediately deceptive. So now we have the case in cyberspace where we are required to create and user name and it is industry standard. So takeing this to the next level. The mere fact that I entered my true name, my true birthdate and my correct information exempts me from fraudlant acts. So how and why is the idea that multiple accounts that may now exist or at a later date be applied using a different "user names" or "log In" names that include the players true and corrrect "user information" considered and presumed to be an attempt at fraud and as you said "RED FLAG" On this I propose that any casino that uses this charge as a reason to not pay a player should be considered rogue and be charged with unethical buisness practices, there mere fact that they closed or black list me on a data base for fradulant actions is and should be considered slanderous and creates grounds for legal remedy for defamation.

And yes there is a story here, the story is that we as players need to start doing something about protecting our own interest. If I go into a land casino and management says I cant be there because I told the floor man my name is Bill Clinton, or if I go shopping at BestBuy to buy a camera and in conversation; tell the cashier that I am Bill Clinton's sister but give her my identification and credit card. Can she refuse to take my payment and post my name on some data base for all retail outlets to say I defrauded this company. See here I Think Not, so why do we allow this to happen in the online casino. Players seem to be so concerend about getting paid and not getting paid and spend hours upon hours in this blogs and forums instead of takeing that precious time and useing it to make this industry solid and fair.

    Ummmm.....what?

    Sorry you've lost me.

The policy of online casinos is ONE ACCOUNT PER PLAYER. It doesn't matter what you call yourself, or where you move to, it is still YOU and YOU are only allowed one account.

I also don't appreciate your attitude, given that I took the time to answer your questions to the best of my knowledge. Next time I'll know better.

When someone asks questions like this on a forum, it's usually for a reason - past, present, or future. You can't blame people for being suspicious.

Nifty: I’m so sorry I didn’t intend to relay any attitude. I’m honestly just trying to understand the mentality of players today in that we just accept casino T & C’s without question. That’s it! I just don’t understand why we as players just let this stuff lay in sleep. Bryan here at Casinomesiter does all he can to help us thru the rough spots; I’m just wondering when we as players will do something for ourselves to help clarify and eliminate those bumps for ourselves.

Yes and I understand about the policy that is my point...those policies we get from the casinos are unclear in regards to so many things. And worse they can change them on the fly. So yes it is about policy. I simply believe that it is unacceptable and unethical business practice to not be specific on what constitutes fraud as it pertains to multiple accounts. I believe it should be our Legal Name, Birth and documented identification, not a user name they created as we register a new player account. I also believe that the casino should take full responsibility by finding duplicate names and birthdates for players registered with them instead of using user names in their data base query. Think about it if you go to an online casino and being the registration process; if the email address you enter is in their system. You get a little message that it is in use “so pick another" or if I pick a user name like "Username” you again will get a message "name already exists" OMG?? But when I put in my true legal name along with my date of birth "NOTHING"??? No little message and were good to good!

Now doesn’t that strike you as at least a little suspicious...perhaps it is the casinos way of not caring that you have other accounts? Is it just possible that casinos appreciate our screw-up’s and do nothing to implement safeguard to and for the players as it is in fact financially advantages to the casino in the end. They certainly don’t lack for placement of rigid safeguards to protect their own interest.

This is my point we as players immediately quote casino policy and their terms and conditions. Right, wrong or indifferent, like little robots. "it’s a no brainer" "it says it right there? I Submit that perhaps what "it says" is prejudice and needs to be redefined. Metaphorically speaking shouldn’t we concentrate on buying life insurance before were dead, because death is most certain.
And I do apologize; I honestly didn’t mean to sound as if I was giving you attitude

Sorry, but I am going to side with Nifty on this one. The casinos have these RULES in place to protect themselves from the scammers and fraudsters who make it necessary for the insanity of longwinded T&Cs. I'm sure your job also has rules in place to protect themselves. In essence, you are saying that just because it is on the internet the rules don't mean diddly?

The majority of casinos/sportsbooks have in their Terms and Conditions specifics that YOU as a player agree to when you download the software. And most will state that YOU as a player are RESPONSIBLE for keeping track of updates and changes to T&Cs. These terms aren't hidden nor are they ambiguous, they are stated plainly and clearly.

Granted, there ARE some terms which can be argued, but these aren't usually the case. Also, it is a good point to update your personal info each time you move to decrease the problems that can arise when a withdrawal is requested.

At some point you have to take responsibility for your own actions and not lay these small problems at the feet of the casino. Yes, I agree, most T&Cs are overly long and require a minor degree in law to understand them. BUT, if in doubt ask questions, that is why they have a support department and most have a live chat. If you are simply signing up at casinos to take advantage of the freebies, I have no sympathy if they refuse to pay due to multiple accounts. Either you didn't take the time to read the T&Cs or you are a scammer/fraudster, which is the reason WHY we have mile long T&Cs.

Good point. If it is possible in one instance it should be possible in the next, much more important field - your true identity.
