How do they get the images? Is it really that easy to do?
Is there anything genuine(trusted) software providers can do to stop this happening?
Do they just paste the pictures over their own crappy slots or do they rip of the entire framework of the games? If so, How?
I understand very little about this and how it is done etc... But had assumed that powerhouse software providers like
MG and
RTG would have thought of protecting their property from things such as this?
Are they(
Mg and
RTG) sloppy or are Casino Sh#t Scripts incredibly crafty and devious?
Cheers in advance

It's easy to get the symbols simply by downloading and installing a genuine casino with those games. They may have been able to rip the entire game framework from the Flash implementations offered by these casinos.
What they have NOT got is the server side game engine, they have their own basic slot engine, and have simply plugged this into the symbols and frameworks they have nicked from the original owners. The reel layouts don't even match the originals, it is JUST the symbols and the screen that match.
They seem to think that by making minor alterations of colour etc, or taking off Thor's helmet (you can even see traces of where it was on their symbol - which proves they used the original MGS symbol, and then edited it - rather than producing their likeness from scratch) they have somehow avoided the copyright issue. The rights to LOTR do not even belong to MGS, but to Hollywood, and when the theme was licensed to MGS there were some pretty detailed conditions attached to how the slot would be described, marketed, developed, etc. This outfit may soon have to worry about Hollywood lawyers, let alone those from MGS and RTG.
