Possibly, the ones at the movies are "passive", whereas there is another type, which for convenience I will call "active". This just means that it connects to the device showing the 3D pictures, and uses a signal from this device to "activate" the glasses in such a way as to synchronise with the picture, and thus produce a 3D image to the eyes. This would not be a credible option for a movie theatre, so they use these "passive" glasses, which are cheap to produce, and it doesn't have to worry about getting them back, or customers demanding "new" pairs, rather than those used by earlier viewers.
The two systems are not compatible, so "movie theatre" glasses will not work where a system requires "active" glasses.
Ideally, you need a proper 3D monitor, along with it's own set of glasses and connectivity, in order to enjoy the full 3D experience. Without this, you merely get a "pseudo-3D" effect at 3Dice, and when launched, this was all that 3Dice 3D was, as this was BEFORE 3D monitors and televisions became available.
Only if 3Dice have updated to "proper" 3D for a 3D monitor will ANY system be worth the bother. For this, ask Enzo (the rep).
