    Question about progressives

My curiosity has me. I just wonder if anyone knows this.

When someone wins a progressive, is it the casino that pays it out,
or are they all hooked up, to where a third party pays it out?
    Just wondering how it works.

It's normally all pooled together. This is one of the reasons progressives are promoted so hard by the casinos. When someone wins one, it's a fantastic PR event for the casino, and they don't take a financial hit. And many of the folks who win these progresives will pump some of the "progressive" money back into the casino.

It's pretty much a win win situation for everyone.

Except those players who "chase" progressives.
