There is some strange about slot thermometer of 32Red... They are in general very high in many slot from long time (this usually mean the casino in not paying well in that period).
In the past days and weeks someone hit big win on slot (Beach Babes - CashOccino - Jewels of the Orient - and many other). All wins was up to £ 3.5K but the thermometer is still very high. I Know that when it back to minimum (80) mean that the jackpot (best combination) was hit. Someone hit up to £ 9.000,00 on Jewels of the Orient but the thermometer is still 999... Probably high roller hit very good combination with max bet 45£ But in slot like TSII - LOTR - Alaskan Fishing and other is no need to hit the jackpot to reset the temperature to 80, if you hit 100X hit on them with 1 coin (0.30c bet and 30£ win) the thermometer will reset. I think this issue generated confusion because many players can be tempted to play in slot where the jackpot temperature is very high.
I still think when a player (sorry not player, high roller) hit £ 10K in a slot the termomether must be resetted to 80 and the difference with the other that i mentioned have no sense.

Just forget about the meters.
They used to be useful, at least for me, but they changed the way they work, as you noticed.
CentreCourt used to reset several times a day, now its stuck on 999 ever since November last year.
Same for Jewels of the Orient.
And its the same everywhere, not only 32RED.

I think they did that on purpose, because by watching the meters carefully you could clearly see the games were not 100% random, definately not the newer ones.
I made the mistake to post about that a few times, so it might be my fault.:o

I think Alaskan Fishing and LOTR reset as soon as anyone hits wilds on all the reels, no matter how many wilds, as long as its at least one on each reel.

TSII resets when you get 5 wilds, and NOT, as indicated, when someone hits a 5 reel wildstorm.
It will also reset, but you cannot make me believe a 5 reel wildstorm happens several times a day.;)

I know we've had this conversation before but personally I think the meters are bollocks. Where a random game where each spin is independent of the next is in play you can't say that one is any more likely to hit than another.

It's a silly concept from MG IMO that just makes more people think, quite reasonably, that the slots can't be random.

And thats the question, is each spin really independent from all others?
I think with the older MG games, yes, they are.
Thunderstruck and all the clones, BDBA, Isis, I never noticed any difference in how they play in relationship to the metervalue.

But the newer games with all these new feautures, stackes/expanding wilds and God knows how many ways to win?
CentreCourt never paid in the low 80's.
Meter resets, game dies. Always the same. Too many coincidenses.
Same with Alaskan Fishing. And many others.

Why would it be impossible that these newer games work a bit like the AWP games?
After all, these aren't illegal, right?
Take in until a certain point, then spit out some. Or alot!:D
Until I see solid proof that they DON'T work like this, I choose to believe that they do.
And I cant really have a problem with that.

I'm not a sore loser trying to blame the games. Not at all.
I get my best results on Microgaming games.
I just share my observations. Thats all.

It is funny .. I've seen a few games stuck on 999 for a few months. Why don't the meters work on the new slots? Always at 80.

When Santa's wild ride was launched, I had great hits on it. Just very funny that after play at MANY Microgaming sites, the results are always the same, irrelevant of the temp meter.

I started to call Santas Wild ride... Santas AWP... Surely seems like one to me:)

There is a formula for how the value is calculated. Unfortunately, this formula IS WRONG, it isn't just the SLOTS that are random, it seems the METER is random too, since the values bear no relation to the formula.

A new game CANNOT have any value other than 80, yet they arrive with values that indicate that they have been played for some WEEKS before they have even been RELEASED - this is complete bollocks, and even the "fun" element in the meters has gone.

Now, all they do is have players wondering how they can have the values shown, yet the slots be random.

I have won proper JACKPOTS on the "classic" slots, yet the meter has NOT reset according to the formula.

It is also pretty STUPID that a "cold" slot has a HIGH "temperature", whereas a "hot" slot has a LOW temperature.

I just ignore them, they are a waste of space, and something more useful could occupy that column, like the theoretical RTP:)

Now the question is what is the need thermometer? Temp is much random than RNG and this is very sad... Usually my best hit was in games where the temperature was "cold" and never hit anything good in games very "hot" at 999.
Many new slot is still at 80, wow every second a player hit the jackpot or up 100X hit? Come on try to be serious...;)

Bye:)

999 is actually FREEZING COLD, not HOT. 80 is HOT, because it means the game has paid BIG - the standard definition of a "hot slot".

I suggest a NEW value, the running RTP over the past month, far more valuable, and it would actually MEAN something. It would be a TRUE measure of how "hot" a game is. It could be scaled to mimic a "temperature", so that minor changes in running RTP cause meaningful swings in "slot temperature". 100% RTP and above could be "boiling point and above", and RTP lower than 90% could be "freezing point". They could even have entertaining pictures or animations to represent the various temperatures.
