    B&M SLOTS question

So I have unashamedly been taking advantage of free play promos at a local casino question is the 5 10 or 20 dollar machines.........Do they have a higher payout percentage than the nickel and quarter slots? I get free play every time I go so wondering if I got a better chance throwing my 10 dollar free chip in for a single spin or should i stick with the nickel slots?
Oh and I get free play for my B-Day all day so if you have any tips on that let me know please. Thanks in advance.

It depends on the casino but it isn't uncommon for higher denomination slots to be set to a better RTP.

where you getting the free play all day for your B-Day i'm missing out. I used to get a free tournament and a nice dinner when I was a platinum player at Rama but since I started having kids I make it there 2 or 3 times a year.

If you're concerned purely with getting the most out of the free bucks, I definitely think wagering it all at once is the best choice. Like Nifty said, it's not uncommon for higher-limit machines to give out a better return. In addition, it's just the nature of variance that you get a higher return by going big.

This, of course, assumes that once you've wagered it, you'll leave the casino immediately.

If you're planning on spending some more time betting after the fact, I'd say you'd probably end up spending less if you stick with machines with limits that are normal for you. It's better to spend all day wagering that $10 free chip on the penny slots than wagering it all at once, busting, and then losing another of your own $10 to occupy yourself.

Seeing Ontario on your profile I am assuming Ontario Canada, if so I can only speak for Manitoba and BC, the payouts are different, Quarters were set at 92% based on max bet based on 10 million spins as opposed to 90% for nickels and pennies, sorry no info on dollars but one can only assume.

I usually use half to three quarters of my comp dollars when I go to the casino on the $5 slots. Once I catch a good hit, I get up and move to the dollar machines. This has worked for many years for me.

The last time I went, I had $150 in comp dollars , took the $100, used it in the $5 machine and caught the triple bars for a little over $400 (one coin, no multiplier) and took it to the dollar machine.

Played and stayed two nights on their dime and then used my winnings the next day and caught the $1000 blue 7's with a multiplier on the dollar machine (two coin this time).

For some reason , going to the $5 machines in the beginning has aually given me something right off the bat that allowed me to play all night and sometimes into the next day.

Good luck on whatrever you try...

I'm intrigued about all this comp stuff at US casinos as we don't have anything even approaching it over here.

What kind of action or timeframe is required to rack up that kind of comp?

I've heard of free rooms and meals etc as well which sounds awesome.

    How does it all work?
