Hottest threads

Just wonder why the "How to win at roulette" thread stays within the hottest threads window, considering (a) it's a beaten-to-death subject (b) thread is closed.

Meanwhile, a much hotter subject, the "Betfair bonus fiasco", has disappeared (at least from my display of hottest threads).
IMO, the Betfair thing deserves a sticky in the hottest area, as long as there's no solution to the issue.

Is it the no. of posts / views that makes a thread hottest, or how is it defined?

That's what it looks like to me.
If you go to that thread you will see the # of that last post match.
