The Usage of Popup Bonuses

Was just reading another thread where a player was in game play when he received a pop up asking if he would like to use a bonus. Why do casinos feel this is a good thing? Are they trying to trap the player in hopes they won't back out of their play to go read the T&Cs? For the newbie, they may be tempted to accept, not knowing what they are getting themselves into.

If casinos are going to employ the usage of pop up bonuses, why not do it after the player has deposited, but before they start playing? I know in my preCM days, some of the rogue casinos were well versed in using this technique of "entrapment". Although, I was often a PITA because I'd ask so many questions, they stopped doing them.

I think it would be helpful to know which casinos use this method of luring the unsuspecting player. Maybe it would save some players from falling into this type of commitment without understanding T&Cs and asking questions before accepting....

This has only happened to me at bellerock casinos- more annoying than anything else as it breaks my count cycle- to be fair the bonus is usually for the next deposit not as part of the current game play so no trap.

The strangest CS popup I had (samecasino) was a csrep asking in the middle of play if I would like to know which games had been paying out the best that day?

I know at the topgame casinos, they come on and offer bonuses all the time.

I can't imagine interrupting a player's session to essentially spam them.. some things are just more LOL than others...

It just seems to me as if the casinos want everyone to use bonuses, by employing this tactic. I'm sure some players will say why not without asking questions. Newbies will fall into traps of not realizing they are now tied to a wagering requirement and perhaps a max cashout rule.

When I was playing, I very seldom used a bonus, just didn't want to be tied up with WR and max cashout rules. Once in a great while, a bonus would come along that wasn't too bad, BUT I always made sure I knew the details involved, and these were chosen BEFORE I played. It just seems CSR has lost their common sense. Most players, if they choose to use a bonus, will do so before game play, why would they change their minds DURING play. It just seems like a trap by the casinos on the player who won't back out of the game to check T&Cs or ask questions.
