    Question Free Chip T&Cs

There is a debate going on in another thread concerning capping withdrawals on free chips. It's been awhile since I enjoyed the gift of a free chip from any casino, so I am wondering...
Across the different platforms, how strictly do you adhere to a max cashout on a free chip? Once WR is done and bonus monies are removed, is the player then free to continue playing or are they done when they meet the max for the bonus? Does a reverse withdrawal obliterate the wagering requirements making the player free to play more on this money or does it still stand the player is capped?

When I played before, and was gifted a free chip, I was always under the impression that once you met all the requirements and you reached your max you were done. This was for MG, Rival and RTG. Have times changed and the way a free chip is handled changed?

I'm sure there are some out there in cyberspace who have the same question...

It all depends on where the free chip is from. Once WR are met, more times than not the cap stays in place. So if you make playthrough and have the max withdrawable amount in your account, it is usually pointless to keep playing imo.

Also, there are some casinos that will let you reverse that money into a deposit. Bet Phoenix for example used to allow players to do so, and even take a bonus with it. There would be no restrictions on it if you decided to reverse it and not take a bonus, so no max cashout. That quickly changed into a 10x max cashout rule once reversed, and was 5x max cashout on free chip reversals last time I played one.

It's been sometime since I have played there, so I am unsure of the requirements as of now.

Vegas Regal will also reverse the withdrawal on a free chip as a deposit if requested. Those are the two that I can think of at the moment. All others I am familiar with, the max amount in the terms, is the max amount withdrawable....period.

    Hope I answered your questions

Free chips without max cashouts are getting harder to find. As VM quoted "the Poisoned Chalice" ... A few casinos last year did throw me a bone or 2 but its less and less. JPcapitol i know have a lousy 5times max cash out on free chips , so low in fact i hardly ever play the odd freebies they give me. Not bashing them as they are decent in all other areas. Think its always good to fully understand what "free" means before playing so as to avoid any disapointment later on if your on a winning streak.

It's also about how the policy is communicated to the player. The other thread concerns the muddled and confusing player experience of an RTG free chip played using the new system, where the adjustment can happen multiple times. Although many other platforms have caps on free chips, even MGS, the handling is so much more straight forward. The player can play as long as they like, and their balance does not get "messed with" until such time as they decide to end their session, check they have made WR, and decide to make the withdrawal. This is clear cut & simple, the adjustment is made ONCE, and NOT while the player is actually PLAYING. It will ALWAYS lead to the player getting the full capped amount, and a very clear termination of the free chip "contract".
Messing with a players in-play balance so that they are taken by surprise by the adjustment is confusing. The adjustment is made, so common sense tells you the contract is over, and what remains is YOUR money, no strings attached. No supporting information is given to the player at the time the adjustment is made, and there is nothing to alert them to the fact that they are supposed to stop playing there and then, and withdraw that amount.
Since the actual free chip is removed as well as the surplus win amount, there is NO WAY any further "advantage play" can take place on what remains.

Unless casinos are willing to admit that this BS about "recreational entertainment" is a lie, there is no way they can justify this new RTG capping system, which is designed to cause players to make WR to the EXACT amount, and then immediately withdraw, and then STAY AWAY from the casino until the withdrawal is processed and paid.

No other software manages free chips like this, and no other software (apart from Rival) is struggling so much financially.

RTG should put the entertainment back into the product, and go back to adjusting for max cashouts when the player is ready to end their day's entertainment, and withdraw their balance.

Other operators should leave what currently "ain't broke" well alone.

Unless things have changed recently, as long as you have made at least one deposit at a BetOnSoft casino, the max cashout rule on a free chip/free spins is waived.

I've always thought that there are different types of free chips.

    1. Free chip given as a gift to regular players in the casino with smallish WR say 10x with no max cashout.

    2. Free chip given to non depositing players but registered players with say 25x WR with no max cashout.

I think casino managers who give out free chips, don't know what they are doing by placing max cashout limits. I certainly never placed limits in any of my casinos in the past.

Hmmm, I'd like to hear from some of the casino reps to get their take on this. I think it would be interesting to hear how each casino (no matter the platform) deals with the gifting of free chips. Hopefully, one or two will pop in and give us their casinos' conditions...
