    Minor RTG complaints

Just a few things that really start to irritate me when playing RTG slots.

First, that useless counting up of the random jackpots.
This started maybe a year ago, maybe a little less, but it slowly spread amongst almost all RTG casinos.
Its like some nutcase is following you through the entire casino and starts to bet $500.- per spin a few seconds after you entered the game.
Its all fake ofcourse, cuz a few minutes later the counter drops back to its original value, and then it starts all over again.
Its even more stupid with the games that have a minor and major, as only one of them goes nuts, while the other remains static.

Problem, at least for me, is that this superfast counting up somehow messes up the reel animations.
Especially games like Mystic Dragon, Rain Dance, Tritons Treasure, Wok&Roll and a whole bunch more start to look really crappy as soon as the RJ goes nuts.
Anyone else experiencing this or is it my crappy PC?

And if its really a trick to make the casino look more busy, its an insult to our intelligence. Every player can see its fake.

Further, when playing Lose Caboose, the extra wild(s) in free spins used to show in gold, so it was clear what you hit or not.
Now they just stay the same, which makes it a bit hard to see what hits.
The payouts are still ok, but I always like to see what hits.

I've got a fast computer with lots of ram and I still get that bogging - certain games are worse for me - the one with the bees and Derby Dollars especially.

Actually I'm getting a little sick of the constant updating and jerky reels and crashing at MG casinos lately too.

Yes Derby Dollars, forgot to mention, one of the worst indeed.
As soon as the random goes wild, the game gets almost unplayable.
Mystic Dragon is the worst, just have to put it on turbo play as the animation is completely messed up.

For MG, the minimise/maximise screen trick still works.
Every time I change games I min/max the screen first before I start playing.
After every freespinround or bonusround repeat procedure.
Works for me at MG, unfortunately not for RTG.

I'm having these issues periodically but not to the same degree. The 'RJ on crack' thing seems to be random and more common on newly released games.

I had some comps from ages ago to play off at Rushmore the other day -
what on earth is going on there? The games are slower than a DMV worker returning from lunch break. In times past I could speed it up by opening IE in the background but even that doesn't work. I tried one of their tourneys and couldn't even use up all the coins.

I noticed there are 2 forms of 'slow', one is where the reels spin terribly slow, I usually solve this by opening a Rival casino (sound switched off) in the background (dont even need to log in).
The other one is when the reels just keep spinning for 10 seconds or more before the first finally lands, no solution for that one, as its a server or connectionproblem.

Good tip thanks! Last time I played at MG I had task manager open - I was watching the memory usage going up and up and up as I played and my hard drive started whining like crazy. It was driving me nuts, I finally just got out of the casino and restarted. I'll try your tip next time.

If you open windows media player and minimize it in the background that usually helps with the faster than the speed of light random jackpot slow downs

Did anyone ever explain why the jackpots worked that way, even if it was temporary?

If I remember right its a setting casinos can use to make their casino look more busy.
As if we are all brainless morons.

And it does not really slow down the games, its more like, if you allow me to use 3-D shooter language, the framerate drops from say 100FPS to 25FPS.
