UK player - how to get started with Betvoyager

    Hi,

What are the best options for a Uk player wanting to start playing at Betvoyager with say 100GBP initial deposit.

I know they only deal in Euros and am fussing a bit over the back and forth currency conversions. Where to get 100 GBP worth of Euros for a start.

I am also an eWallet virgin. In the past I have used my debit card or paypal since being in the Uk i am not subject to the issues that US players have.

I've read the eWallet FAQ but still feel a bit confused and overwhelmed. Would appreciate some guidance from someone whose been there already.

    thanks

You don't need to. The conversion is handled by the casino. You just use your card, or ewallet in UK pounds.

There IS a conversion fee though, and this will depend on the method chosen. Cards will often charge a foreign transaction fee on top of a loaded conversion rate, so an eWallet is a better option.

To open a Neteller account (for example), register at their site for an "express" account. This can later be verified and upgraded to an "extended" account. You can also get the (somewhat unreliable) Net+ card, which gives you access to any WINNINGS you might make, without having to go through the agony of verifying, and withdrawing back to the bank.

You can open the Neteller account in UK Pounds, and when you deposit in Euros, the conversion is handled for you. It costs about 1.75% to convert currencies, so this is the expected loss either way in the process.

You could also see if you might prefer the convenience of playing without such fees, and find a casino that offers the UK Pound.

The other main eWallet is Moneybookers, a bit like "Neteller with attitude". It seems to be harder to get in touch with Moneybookers when there is a problem, whereas Neteller, although easier to contact, have had many more problems recently than Moneybookers.

The casino is very likely to help you deposit, and may offer other advice. They may be less helpful when you want to withdraw

Always the test of a truely good casino, chat staff who are just as helpful when working through the quickest and most convenient withdrawl options as they are when taking a deposit.

Actually I once had a problem with a withdrawal at Betvoyager, which had to do with two different e-mail addresses registered with one Moneybookers account, and the CS was very helpful and efficient sorting it out so that I was able to withdraw.

Why should he play anywhere else where the fairness and randomness of the results cannot be proven? He couldn't have made a better choice than Betvoyager.

Actually having to deal in an alien currency is a significant deterrent.
