Hi All,

I was wondering if any of you have been playing the Mobile Versions of Microgaming slots. I was recently on holiday and decided to give it a try. Downloaded a few games, namely:

Thunderstruck
Avalon
Tomb Raider
Mermaid Millions
Mega Moolah

I played ALL the Slots and was amazed at how high the Demo percentages were set. In a nutshell, the feature triggered within the first 10 spins on ALL the games I played and I more than quadrupled my balance on every game within a few spins.

Now I knew this was all too good to be true so i decided to give the real play a shot. Lo and behold, it took sometimes hundreds of spins for the feature to activate.

I was wondering (Im not screaming conspiracy) if anyone has experienced something similar. I have NOT tested this thoroughly, but everytime i played the Demo version, i had extremely good returns Vs. Realplay. In the back of my mind I am obviouly wondering if the Fun Play has been set at a higher RTP!

Your thoughts?

Nate

Maybe a microgaming rep at the forum could contact the Spin3 software technical department to ask them if the demo play is in any way shape or form different to real money play, just a thought.

I would hazard a guess that demo and real play are the same animal except for the real monetary tansactions. It could be simply the case that if you had played in real mode the first time instead of demo you would have had that same good run.

Also I think RTP is misleading as jackpot winners are usually lumped in to the final figures.

A casino operator that quietly provides a high-payback demo mode is essentially cheating the players and deserves instant Rogue Pit status.

I remember trying someone's software a few years back (can't remember which one). I couldn't lose a hand of BJ or miss out on a Roulette spin and I never went back. I imagine there are enough people in the world who would be fooled into thinking it was a wonderful casino they can make money in, but it's the most reprehensible bait and switch that can be perpetrated on a casino's potential customers.

I'm sure that in a regulated environment, it would be illegal to provide demo mode games that play differently from the same game in real mode. Until proper regulations exist, I will choose to go to casinos that don't offend my ethics and sense of fair play. If your casual observation is accurate, I would be extremely disappointed with MG. I'd like to know more about this topic if anyone has any information.

Why should regulators force a casino to also offer a play version of each and every game ?

Why should a play money game be regulated in any way ?

Of course it is mean to let players play on rigged play money games, and rip them on real money games. But thats the business, every player KNOWS that the house has the advantage.

I never said that they should be forced to offer a play for fun version of their games. Both versions exist already in the example from the OP. Since they do, I simply indicated that it would be extreme rogue behavior for the same game title to pay differently in real vs. fun mode since it gives the player a misleading expectation in free play mode.

I stand by that statement. It's not 'the business' to mislead people for profit (or at least it shouldn't be). That was my point. Bait and switch tactics are disreputable and any regulatory body in any industry would not allow such behavior.

I think when you are playing in demo \ free mode - its a good idea to hit features on slots, so you can see what they offer - it often saves time and money, especially on a new slot, just to see how the feature works!

Just a thought..

Daz
