Such a low player edge should mean this doesn't become a massive problem overnight, as happened at Betfair.

Boss Media had single deck blackjack with considerably larger (0.15%) player edge for years. The game was removed only when people started botting it 24/7 for profit.

In the past, games with a small player edge lasted because most players gave the edge back to the casino through making mistakes. Once enough players figured out they could make money, the games got removed. This is probably down to the casinos being aware of what they were offering, and keeping a close eye on the overall performance of the game, so that as soon as they started making regular losses from it, they could remove it, rather than start voiding winnings.
The large expansion in the availabilty of "bots" has meant it is far more risky to offer a game with a player edge.
The Intercasino game will have players looking for a suitable bot to make the money before the mistake gets fixed, and if there isn't one available already, someone will produce one pretty quickly and sell it.

Betfair royally screwed up a promotion, and then compounded the error by making it "unlimited". Whilst it ran for less than a day, and most of this was overnight, it was possible to gain a HUGE player edge, and make money VERY quickly from it by using large bets, and continually recycling the winnings back into further claims of the "unlimited" offer.

One player made €32,000 at the cost of a night's sleep, and Betfair took the money back from his BANK 2 days after paying it out. THIS is where things REALLY went wrong for Betfair, and it was the way they dealt with the problem, rather than the problem itself, that put them in the rogue pit.

Obviously I am well aware of the Betfair fiasco since I started that thread so no need to repeat those events. But it involved bonuses so imo it is a completely different type of matter than BJ with extremely marginal player edge.

This is the ONLY time Betfair have acted badly, so there is no other event to be aware of.

They do have games with zero edge, which can be attained through perfect strategy. Considerable scope here for minor mistakes to produce a significant opportunity for players, but there is no evidence that this has ever happened.

I expect the Intercasino case will be resolved by them spotting the mistake early on, and correcting it. Players who played will be paid, but will then be given incentives to come back after the game is fixed, so that the casino can win the money back.

This will only become a problem if Intercasino are not paying attention, and don't discover this until they have lost a significant amount of money.

News of this will spread pretty fast, and it won't be long before they are flooded with players seeking to profit from this game, and this is something they SHOULD notice.

The edge really is so tiny (much lower than the retention rate of comps at 0.1%) that I doubt they could lose significant amount of money. There are many other BJ/Video Poker variations that together with comps give larger edge. For example I recall that at Jackpot Factory Vip Lounge you get comps at an increased rate of 0.2% for classic BJ with only 0.1% HE, leading to 100.1% return.
