Need help with installing casino tournaments gadget

Sorry, if I posted it in wrong thread.

Just wanted to ask if anyone knows how to install a gadget (.gadget extension) on Windows XP? Seems like these gadgets could be installed not only on Win7 or Vista, but I failed to find a solution.

    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

Windows sidebar seems to be for Vista and above. There may be an UNAPPROVED method for getting it to work in XP, but this is not something Microsoft support.

The "missing DLL" problem is down to XP not supporting some of the functions that this "sidebar" needs. An unofficial solution might involve adding these extra DLL files to an XP system, but there is no guarantee it will work.

The easiest solution would be to upgrade to Windows 7 (forget Vista - it was a dud) as cheaply as you can.

This should be OK. It is an extension to Windows, and can be installed in XP. I have had to install it to get many things to work, such as catch-up TV services provided by the UK major networks.

I am also surprised that this gadget is on the OFFICIAL Microsoft site, yet is aimed primarily at US players of "US friendly casinos" in it's current stage of development. Microsoft could find themselves "aiding and abetting" illegal gambling by US players, just as the PROCESSORS were before UIGEA, when there were NO laws making the TRANSACTIONS unlawful.

Neteller had to face charges related to processing prior to UIGEA, even though Neteller did not offer games of chance, it offered the FACILITIES to take part in them.

This gadget could disappear from the official Microsoft site, so grab a copy whilst you can.

It will no doubt be available elsewhere in due course if this were to happen.

I will try to install it tomorrow, last time my PC crashed when I tried to do it, so maybe I need to reboot

Looks legit. Nice site for RTG slots, even though MGS is not covered. The also have a legit eCogra approved portal seal.

I expect they made the gadget, and put it on the Microsoft site. Maybe Microsoft don't actively police what goes on there, only reacting to complaints (rather like Google's YouTube).
