    Poker questions...

Hi all. So like I said here before, I'm working on launching my own casino software. Got a couple questions I'd like to float to poker players around here about some odd/interesting ideas I'm kickin around.

    1. I'm thinking of having Limit and Pot Limit 7 Card Stud, and then also having Pot Limit and No Limit Mississippi. Any thoughts?

    2. My software, right now, doesn't let players rebuy until they're out. There isn't enough time between hands to make it work well. If they want to rebuy before they're out, they have to stand up and sit down again, missing a hand, and paying an early blind. So because of that, it also doesn't care if a player stands up and sits down with less right away. I feel like this is a fair trade-off. Really, I don't want players rebuying until they're out, but I don't want to strictly prohibit it. I could make it do these things, but I'm not sure I want to.

    3. I'm actually playing with the idea of doing what the Luxor does in Vegas... having a $50 minimum, $50 maximum buyin on 1/2 NL games. As far as I know, this hasn't been done really with an online casino before. The player doesn't have to leave the table to deposit, so I feel like it could work. And it would take out a lot of the variance. I think it would make a more fun game.

I'd love to hear any ideas you guys have along these lines...

My advice would be do the casino software really well and leave the poker to FullTilt/Pokerstars!

FT and Stars have a lotta problems. It's not just that their software's ugly, but it is. I've been a FT player for years, and bodog too... PokerRoom was my home before UIGEA. My own casino's poker room is going to be very small, so I want to cater it to a niche market, and do the stuff I'd like to see if I got to run one of those sites for a day. That's why I'm thinking NL Mississippi and a flat min / max $50 buyin like Luxor and MGM are doing on the $1/2 NL Holdem tables. I want to bring in the upper crust.
