Is this normal? Have I just been lucky to not play at any casinos that take this long to process deposits? Surely it can't take 2 weeks to have confirmation of an echeck being cleared if its taken from your account the same day you deposit.

It's fairly normal on NEW accounts, but some casinos waive the delay for their loyal customers, taking it on trust that the deposits will clear.
They may also request documents once they know the deposit has cleared. You can save time by arranging this now, rather than waiting till the 28th.
