    Rival Lost My Trust

Well I didn't trust them a whole heck of a lot anyways, but after last nights 'interesting' session they can be sure they will never see another dime of my money.

This issue kind of goes hand in hand with the This is Vegas thread, but didn't want to derail that thread anymore.

I was having a pretty good run at Vegas Regal the past 3 days (mostly due to a nice $1100 win on Scary Rich on a $5 bet). Well I left about $50 or so in my account to play with....and was able to get this back up to $500. As I tried to enter jacks or better video poker, I kept getting error messages, and I got booted out of the software. Each time I logged in same thing kept happening no matter what game I tried to open. Finally I decided to reinstall the software.

When I came back....my max bet on both Scary games had been reduced to $2....they were previously $10. I then went to blackjack where my max bet was $500, won a few hands....went to play a few slots, then went back to blackjack and now my limit was $200 So mid session they are playing with my limits on all the games. I should point out that there was no bonus involved here. Now as I started playing blackjack again with my newly reduced limit....I went on a horrendous losing streak and quickly lost my bankroll.

I find this very disturbing.....SOMEONE on the Rival backend was obviously watching my play and adjusting my limits due to me winning. Who is to say they didnt also activate a gaffed blackjack game to get their money back???

This got me to thinking about a continuing issue I have at Vegas Regal...and I recall that at least one other member had the same issue. I literally cannot play there for more than an hour or so, before the casino slows to almost a grinding halt. Many times I have to restart my computer to get the software to function normally again. This ALWAYS happens. When I start it back up again it plays fine, but slowly but surely, things start slowing down gradually until it becomes unplayable.

Can anyone offer up an explanation for this? This is the only casino this happens to me at (this is also the only Rival that is on my computer).

Maybe the answer is this: As soon as you login to play, there is an automated system that starts watching your play and your bets/wins/losses...and begins calculating how to adjust and what action needs to be taken on your account (lowering limits/RTP, etc...) As you play more and more information is taken in, it slows the server down to a halt?? This is the only explanation I can come up with.

At any rate I refuse to put another dollar into a Rival casino. Certaintly there is something sinister going on behind the scenes. If you continiue to play at Rival, be careful....BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING!!!

It’s sick that ONLY once you win that your limits are adjusted, bonuses withdrawn etc.

Where is the credibility here? For some outfits it’s all about the $$$$ in the SHORT Term and not about player retention. Casino's don't realise the more they continue to the players, the sooner they will lose their clientele.

I mean if you have great runs on software and get paid in time (irrelevant of bet size or bonuses) you will go back and deposit again. Once it’s obvious that you are being targeted for winning, you move on. Now they have effectively lost the cash out and any potential future deposits...

I have deposited a few times at Vegas regal and never won anything. It seems every week they put out free chips and have for some time. So in all I've probably played 150 sessions + / -. Only one time have I ever gotten to where I could cash out, or won anything. So, yep, I'd made my mind up a long time ago not to put any more money in them. I don't trust them either.

That's what happens to me except I don't have to reboot. Generally only on slots and at all Rival casinos. Some slots dramatically start the slow down process faster especially that Gourmet one when you make the hamburgers. Eventually the wheels will keep spinning, get an error message, and have to leave.

The rest of your post is interesting. Lots of things seem to be occurring with Rivals.

    All interesting stuff

I get those error messages a lot also, I mainly play scary and scary2, and the silly or not so silly thing is they nearly always happen during the bonus round.

Things that make you go hmmmm

I think Ive done my dash too, and that was based on how tight they have been the past few months, add this in and yep done and dusted here.

I used to love Rival. As a naive player I downloaded and deposited a lot in a rival casino. The crunch came when after numerous deposits I finally made a withdrawal. Days and days went by. After 3 1/2 weeks, numerous emails where I received no reply, and useless chat sessions, I finally got paid I decided then and there that they had lost my business. Especially since I discovered CM and found casinos that pay within 48 hours or less

Now that I look back, and reading your post funeral, I too noted the slow down of the software. I often had to close the casino and reboot in order to play at normal speeds. I have also heard about this adjusting bet sizes while people are playing. Frankly this is disgusting and as far as I am concerned lacks integrity and honesty. Rival has definately lost this little customer and I hope many follow suit. Only by losing business will casinos learn that they just can't screw people like this. Not when there are honest casinos around who seem to have less trouble keeping their customers strangely enough

Funeral, Also what casino is this? and, On the main log in page, what are the, "Normal Listed betting Limits" of the games you mentioned? Some casino's have set limits, and then raise them if a player ask them to do so. Are the lowered limits back to Normal, or are they Lower than what, "if I log in" would see?

I would ask, "Everyone", via E mail-chat, and so on, How can they Lower Limits while you are logged into the casino? Is this in their T&C? Thanks for any more info you may provide.

I have to agree. I registered and deposited with a number of their casinos - I think I'm even up on one or two of them, but Rival just doesn't play like other softwares. Between all the threads on slow pays, the Tradition thing, and all the rest, I just can't feel confident depositing there anymore. RTG isn't all that much better, but at least the games are a little more fun IMO. I think I'm going to stick with 3Dice and probably the Club World group since they are both highly recommended here by CM (conversely, no Rival is currently recommended here).

This is at Vegas Regal casino. I am wondering....is anyone having these "slowdown" issues at other Rivals? This is the only Rival I play at so....

Also, where is this "normal listed betting limits" at? I couldn't find it anywhere and have never recalled seeing such a thing. This would be interesting to look at.

I just cannot understand either how they could change my blackjack limit while I am logged into the casino. When my Scary Rich limit was reduced I was booted out and had to uninstall and reinstall the casino before I could reenter. However my blackjack limit was reduced apparently when I switched from bj, to scary, then back to bj....from $500 to $200. By the way....does anyone else have such a rediculous low limit on the Scary games ($2)??? Maybe it was a system wide change?

I just find it extremely unethical to have that done while I am in the midst of a session. They HAVE to be tracking my play....which I would have to guess is the reason the software keeps slowing down as you play...as it continues to process more information as you continue to wager.

On a side note, my limit on Pigskin Payout is still $20...even though I had a $1600 hit on it last month on a $2 bet.....but it was on a max cashout so maybe this is why?
