Recently I have taken a couple bonuses only to find out that the advertised playthough was off and on one occasion, not just off but way off. Here is a suggestion for everyone playing on a bonus with an RTG casino: When you first make your deposit and your balance reflects your bonus, before you ever start play, go back into the cashier and divide the playthrough by your balance.

It should look like this, using a $200 deposit with 100% match bonus, which comes with a 25x playthrough of D+B. You will have a $400 balance and the cashier, if it is calculating correctly, should show a playthrough amount of $10,000.00

I caught software overstating the playthrough by over $1000 the other day. This is a serious issue, whether intended or not. Overstating a players playthrough amount can mean the difference between meeting playthrough before busting out or not. It's a serious issue and for a casino that intentionally alters this setting to overstate the playthrough, it is potentially cheating the player. So, be careful and double check your playthrough amounts before playing. If there is an error, contact support before you play.

Issues like this have appeared before, and RTG are on record (through operators) as saying (more or less) "bug found, bug fixed".

So, gather evidence, and ask operators to explain WTF is going on.

Does it happen at all RTG casinos, or just specific sites (rogue ones perhaps:rolleyes:)

It is certainly pretty sneaky, since players tend to check playthrough when they have a big hit, or think they have played enough & have a balance worth withdrawing.

Previous problems have centered on wagering being incorrectly deducted, rather than an initial miscalculation of the starting playthrough.

Trust has already fallen, and RTG casinos are being accused of lowering RTP in order to make it harder for players to get "a fair game" with a bonus. Surely RTG need this latest "scandal" like a hole in the head, so evidence is needed to substantiate this claim.

Screenshots of the coupon, and cashier before & after depositing, should be a good starting point.

I had that issue with a top game that I used to deposit and play at more frequently. I got my balance up high enough to send me into cashout mode so checked my playthru and proceeded to play higher bet to lower but it went down ever so slow. It was so slow, I just thought this aint right and I can't prove it or figure it so just played it down and made note. Another reason bonus' are NOT my friend.

I wish I had had the forethought to take a screenshot. Next time I find a discrepancy I will. In this case I deposited $300 and took a bonus of 350%. The playthrough should have been $27000 and showed in the cashier as $28050. The coupon is listed as a 20x playthrough. I'm not going to out the casino as of yet, as they are not a known rogue and I brought it to their attention to give them an opportunity to correct the problem first.

Ok so 28050 divided by 1350? my calculator says 20.777777 lol looks like a lucky amount but just how much more is that for them? not that it matters cause wrong is wrong.

You are correct and I came up with the same figures. Looks like someone decided that 20.777777 is sort of 20x. Hey, a little fudge here or there....nobody will notice. ;)

No kidding. You know what would be really hard to do? Come up with a list of why in hell we should keep playing at all.

I just got a 20 nd at an RTG and it said 35X but playthru is 750. Is it different on a chip because calculator says 37.50X. :)
