Bonus discussion are they even worth it?

When I was green to the world of online gaming I though bonuses were a great thing. This was mostly due to ignorance and not reading the terms and conditions. As a newbie you automatically assume it is free cash you can play with and if you win you can cash out any time. It couldn't be further from the truth. In my opinion a bonus does not increase your chances of winning but in fact virtually eliminates your chances of cashing out. Add to this the ability of the casino to interpret rules as they see fit and it's a recipe for loss.

Another scenario that points to the pitfalls of a bonus is the number of people who show up here week after week with a bonus issue regarding forfeiture of all or part of winnings or a dissatisfied experience with the "hidden" T/C. Personally I haven't had a bonus I was satisfied with yet.

I think the perfect bonus that would satisfy casino's and players would be one in which you earned it to some degree and because of that you were not restricted with wagering requirement's. Somthing like..........Deposit 200 dollars and play through once and recieve a 50% no restrictions bonus.

I think the perfect bonus for players is a no restrictions no max cash out fully cashable bonus but that is open to abuse by far too many. Yet that's what the naieve assume they are getting when they first start gambling online.

While I will occasionally take a bonus if my deposit is small, since it will increase play time, I am not fond of bonuses in general. If I deposit and get lucky, I do not want to be beholden to make a play through amount to make my winnings "My Money".
