I spent $8000 of it back due to reversible cashouts. I'm glad I collected the bulk of the money.
It is true many players find it difficult to stick to their original cashout target if on a good run. In my early days of playing online this used to happen to me. Until I realised that it is more productive to cashout smaller increments as you are playing. That way your mindset is locked into your usual comfort zone, ie the kind of bankroll you are in control of and know what risks you can afford to take.

If a session is going so well you find yourself on a very good run, then cashout a large chunk of it quickly, otherwise you can find yourself chasing the bankroll highpoint, and chasing in this business is always risky especially when your chasing something that has a very good head start....the house edge.

So many good posts on here as always. The only thing I can add is that it's the rush isn't it? That feeling of being unstoppable. That your time has come. You are winning strongly so it seem logical you will continue to win.

I think the only aid to dealing with it is experience. If you look at huge sports events often the best players are not the most talented ones but those who handle the occasion best. And often they are the experienced players.

The only thing I can say is that after you have done this a couple of times ie lose a winning balance (as I have) you get a rough idea of when to stop. You find yourself coming away with a bit more every time. Also NEVER EVER try to hit a round number eg 4000 as that will end in disaster.

Oh, yeah. Been there and still doing it.

I think we all know when the slots, (that's what I play...RTG, mainly), that when we hit a 'large' hit , we really should move on to another slot but not always...THERE is the catch, too. Sometimes, as with Azrtec Treasure, the wild icons can carry on for a while.

I think I can guage when it is not going to go to a big hit. It remains 'even' and then slightly less per spin....gradually....that's when I should move on...

I have the best luck on Thursdays and Friday evenings...after 7pm ...USA EST.

(Ok, I could say also... sitting crossed legged, with a leprechaun on me lap...but...ya know)

My best advise is to try and stay level -headed, don't drink and gamble...and whether you're having fun OR NEED to win. BIG difference, right?

The thing that I do when I get to a certain sum and I've just started doing this the past three months is to go to live chat and ask them to flush my withdrawal. slotocash, clubworld and platinum play will flush immediately. I leave a small amount to play with and there is no further temptation to play bc your money is gone.

The next morning before going to work I put in a withdrawal and don't look back. The next morning it's headed to my bank account and I feel a lot better since I've been doing this.
    Waiting on something interesting

I'm ashamed to say bw that unfortunately I can top that. Playing at a Casino Rewards site a couple of weeks ago. I got up to $2000 playing the 4 hand deuces wild game. Got 4 deuces dealt and won $5000. I did the "smart" thing and cashed out the 5K. Unfortunately it was on a friday night and with the stupid 48 hour reverse period..... let's just say that it was a very looonng weekend. I lost all but my original couple of hundred I had deposited. I hate that waiting period, but it was my own stupid fault. I told the wife that next time I hit something big, that I am disconnecting the computer and having her stash the computer modem at her work until I get paid out. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID.........

I think that each of us forum members has had some similar experience. I had a 2K+ hit in a playtech casino and put it all on cashout, but... 4 days pending time... reversal... roulette... chasing the green 0 with higher and higher stakes... in the end the zero really showed up, only it wasnt the green roulette number but a HUGE zero in my balance field. Of course I felt like an ass for some time, but I think I learnt a lesson. 2009 was a superlucky year for me and I had lots of cashouts in several casinos, including an RTG jackpot and whenever there was a nice amount in balance and the WR was done I found the cashout button.

    Cheers Balky

Exactly my point! It WOULD BE your money if you managed to find "Cashout" button.
