Just wondered if there was a community of German based players here?

I am going to be spending time in Germany soon and wondered what the casinos in germany would have in store for me, slot wise.

Do offline and online slots differ? I am under the impression the usual onlines are the same as the offlines?

Are there any strong themes in germany that we prob wont be that popular here in the uk? strike the lesser known ones!

Same slots as everywhere, mostly bought from the UK if theme based... Wizard of Oz slots for example or Dirty Harry Slots.

when you stay in one of the big cities like Hamburg or Berlin, you will find decent casinos. Slots are often updated. Don't expect any comps or free drinks. Slots payouts range between 89% in the worst casinos and up to 93-94%in the better ones. You need your passport to get in, data won't be stored.

Stick to the state-run casinos. Avoid the "Spielhallen", there are thousands of them. This are slots-only clubs with free entry and often free drinks and very popular video slots, but the payout is limited to 60% (yes, thats not a fraud, its required by law).

UK style Fruit Machines you won't find in Germany.

metaxa is absolutely right about the Spielhallen

avoid spielothek, flippothek.. there the slots are set by law and this is more than awful.. max bet is about 2€ and also what you might win per hour is all set by law ;-( its to protect the player from big losses but also from big wins , lol

in real casinos its way better and the atmosphere is not that shabby..

i only go to Spielhallen like mentioned above to play snooker or pool. they have the best tables there.

imho you find the better slots payout online..

As other have already mentioned avoid "Spielhallen" at all costs . If you visit a Casino please note they have a dresscode . You need a suit to get in.
