Well, ordering a new PC might be a better use of money than depositing it into a casino

I bet operators don't see it this way, as they will see a drop in deposits as players order new PCs to operate the new lobby, and even further drops in deposits when players realise they have to PAY for their new PC.

Seeing the casinos is not my problem, it's that they run much slower, and every time I open a game my fan revs up - and the game slows down. This just shouldn't happen if as MGS say the existing games have NOT been upgraded in the graphics department, which is why they look so "crap" compared to before.

I bought my current PC because MGS casinos had become "bloatware" around 3 years ago, but now even this PC has met it's match, and I ordered the top end processor, even though there were many lesser options, and much cheaper too. I also got a 24 inch full HD monitor, and this device seems to be the only thing NOT having a problem with the new lobby, it is the PC now needs more power to drive it. I will probably upgrade to the full 4Gig RAM from 2Gig, and see if I can get a more powerful graphics card. I will also look to get a separate sound card, which will release the processor from the task of producing the sound output.
I suspect my current graphics card lacks the onboard memory required, and is stealing much more from general RAM, leaving the bigger MGS casinos even LESS RAM to operate in.
I could also configure the start up options so that not so much is loaded by default. I have already done this for the various TV Catch-up players I have installed.
I have also used some tweaking software mentioned in another thread to fine tune Windows.

Buying a seperate soundcard would be a waste of money, really, the only thing your PC does when playing a casinogame is playing prefetched WAVE files, something a 15 year old 486 PC can do with 2 fingers in its nose.
Soundcards are only useful if you use your PC for music production with softwaresynthesizers, or if you're a music freak and want high quality sound.

MG should have tested this update before they released it, not only on their high end monstermachines, but also on the cheaper off-the-shelf PC's most people are using.
Would have saved us and many operators alot of trouble.
The fact that Casino Rewards refuses to apply the update says it all, its just very bad progamming

Not sure if anyone has tried the AWP's or Multi-player Wheel of Wealth with the upgraded software, with 1, its very difficult to hit decent on the skill selector rounds as clicking the "Stop" button does nothing most of the time. And the 2nd, you can't select your slot on the wheel as the 5 sec countdown has already finished. Stop forcing people to upgrade their PC's Microgaming, as it seems you want people to go that way..

I would, If THEY WERE STILL F*****G THERE I can only try NEWER AWP offerings released last November, and they are a HUGE disappointment, not in the games themselves, but in the massive reduction in performance.

The fact that this is so bad that players are unable to complete selector rounds within the allowed 5 seconds is VERY SERIOUS INDEED, as players could be getting screwed out of their winnings (although it probably does not matter where you select, it's all predetermined anyway).

I have found you have to click buttons TWICE, since the first click is always ignored. If doing a skill feature, you would have to do a "pre-click" that will be ignored just before you do the click you want to do to stop the skill feature.
This simply should not be the case, there should be absolutely no difference in responsiveness and speed of play given that MGS are saying these existing games have NOT been given new graphics, this is only going to happen for new games from this point on.

Casino Rewards may only be delaying action, since they would not be able to have the newer high resolution games if they stick to the old lobby that works, rather than downgrading to the one that only works properly on a top flight PC.

    Casino Rewards rejects Microgaming upgrade
    12 January 2010

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- A planned upgrade by game software provider Microgaming has been rejected by CasinoRewards.com in an effort to maintain the best user experience across its 19 online casino brands.

The Microgaming upgrade aims to enhance game-play by increasing screen resolution, but instead has led to negative player feedback due to increased load times and distortion.

CasinoRewards.com has chosen to keep the current software to preserve the very best online gaming across its range of 19 online casinos and poker rooms. CasinoRewards.com stood firm on keeping the original software, featuring better graphics, game-play and stability and being the preferred choice of the player:

"It seems the vast majority of players prefer the pre-upgrade game software still on offer at Blackjack Ballroom, Captain Cooks Casino, Casino Classic and all our other Casino Rewards online casinos. The decision to reject the upgrade was an easy one - we let the players decide which software they prefer, and are happy to continue providing the best gaming experience."

Veteran and new players alike who prefer the original Microgaming software can visit any of the CasinoRewards.com online casinos to download for free today. Each featured online casino has a generous sign up offer and in some cases a free hour to play the online casino games risk free using the bonus casino money. Indeed, in 2008 a novice gambler from Finland hit the $5.5 million Mega Moolah jackpot using money won during the trial hour using the free $500 casino bonus at http://www.blackjackballroom.com/.

AT least dome of the MG casinos are listening.

I found out that the slots weren't spinning as good as I thought they were, so I ended up emailing GoWild yesterday and told them I wouldn't be back until they followed suit and downgraded to the previous version.
Operators: If you don't know what Transparency means, then here you go.....now how about practicing it?

Transparency, as used in the humanities and in a social context more generally, implies openness, communication, and accountability. It is a metaphorical extension of the meaning a "transparent" object is one that can be seen through. ...

I also tried GoWild yesterday, got 10 free spins on Gift Rap and won 25 bucks with it, so I had a little to play with.
The refreshrate was still too low, but the slots seemed to spin ok, as you said. Not that slow.
But after 10 minutes I switched from BDBA to Jewels of the Orient, and it was awful again, blurry, slow..
So I restarted the casino, went back to BDBA and it took 15 sec. to complete a spin!!
Another restart solved it, but there's definately something very wrong.
The longer you play the slower it gets.

What I absolutely don't understand is, why did Jackpot Factory apply the update today, despite the fact that so many people are having problems?
Yet another MG casinogroup I can no longer play.

This new software is a fiasco and should be pulled back immediately. The old software was vastly superior.

    Can't agree more.
But the list goes on. Royal Joker, all Palace Group casino's, Red Flush and GNUF have also downgraded.
And all because of that Hellboy slot?
Pure out of principle I promise I will NEVER EVER play Hellboy.
