Random Jackpots with a "Must Hit By" feature.

I've been thinking of how to make the possibility of hitting an RJ at least more predictable in one sense. Keeping them random, why couldn't the software also include a top end must hit by $xxxxx feature? I understand they could be still be hit at any time, but this feature would also keep the serious player from chasing the false hope that hitting a random is just around the corner, as he / she deposits their last few dollars, duped into thinking this is a possibility. I've been guilty of thinking one is going to hit any time and pouring deposit and deposit in going for it. Normally because I was around last time and saw where it hit. Problem is, it hit at $6000 last time, now it's up over $8000 this time. Who knows if it's going to 10k, 15k, 20k?

I think it would be positive for the casinos that offer it too, since when that top end is near, people would be playing like crazy. Am I nuts for thinking this is a good idea? Are there any online slots where USA can play that offer this?

I think also, that this is really a very good idea and i think that it's surely possible to make such an option, because now we have also a feature guarantee slot after at latest 150 spins, so the same could be done on Random Jackpots, i think
But the serious question is, if RTG or the casinos want such an option?

takethemoney, this has already been suggested by me a long time ago (a few months maybe?) and I was told by the "in the know" people that if RTG did this, then it truly wouldn't be random at all...DUH!! I tried this angle already, maybe you can have better luck since most of my suggestions/experiences is always thrown to the wayside and ignored by many anyway..

I think it is a great idea too! Glad there are some others thnking the same..

I think the part which I bolded up above is the reason why this kind of feature would not happen. From a casinos point of view thats exactly what they want you to do. Such is gambling. For myself on the rare times I do play an RTG with A Random, I never really look at. And have never chased an RJ apart from 1 time to the tune of 100 or so bucks before I got my senses back and quit the play session.

    Thumbs down

I have to say this is not a well thought-out plan.
Let's say the jackpot must hit if it reaches 10k. Why would anyone bother playing until it was nearly there? And what about multiple accounts? People are complaining right now in another thread about a MG tournament where someone placed first and second. Don't you think those multi-account players would have all guns blazing as the jackpot neared its guaranteed trigger point? In an industry where integrity is constantly questioned (sometimes rightly and sometimes not), the concept of the casino being able to flip the switch on a jackpot is definitely counter-productive to fostering trust from the players.

The only rational explanation why a player would want to see this introduced is because he has unrealistic expectations of hitting a RJ in the first place.

With the RJ odds stacked massively against you, they should never be chased, or looked at as if they were like hitting 5 scatters. The chance of hitting one and of being in the right place at the right time is very remote, so remote that many players might never hit one in a lifetime of play.

Your idea, whether good or bad won't benefit you the player in any way at all.
By all means chase the dream, but be realistic in the fact thats all it may turn out to be......a dream.

Mike, I've hit 4 RJs in a month before. I spent exactly $200 in deposits doing so. It hit Sunken Treasure for over $10k, Diamond Dozen for over $20k and Mystic Dragon for over $10k at Cherry Red, then turned around and hit Mystic Dragon at Casino Titan for over $6k. I have seen jackpots in the B&Ms that have a must hit by feature as well as mini jackpot features.

I won them on purpose, as that is what I play Real Series slots for. I scan every casino I play and only pick the highest RJs to play. So far it's worked out well in my favor.
