Gambling Online Almost Banned For The U.S Player!!!!!!!

Well having enjoyed online gambling for many years, i almost can say for certain , Americans will be scraping the bottom of the barrel when funding their deposits from now on.

I talked with someone at Wired Plastic today and they assured me that all gambling sites that have been used by patrons in the past will now be blocked, this has been something they have been working on for awhile, she did say some may get lucky and it will slip by but doubtful, she also said that other Pre Paid cards are following suit or have already implemented a plan to ban gambling with any pre paid cards.

I wonder how long it will be before Quick Tender/ Usemywallet follows their lead not to mention Ewallet accounts.

So what do we do as Americans who wish to be entertained with online gambling? I feel that all respectable casinos need to find a way to keep this huge American market going by finding a way for us to gamble at their casinos, if they lose us, then they will feel a huge affect on their bussiness imo.

If it keeps up at this rate, we will all be seeing each other playing Pogo games.

I urge all Reps on here to find a solution to this problem, to help the US player and in turn by saving your vast customer base you have built up here as this will also affect affiliates and their livlihood, who depend on that US player depositing.

Im sure im not the only American player or Affiliate who feels this way.

If it gets to the point where U.S. players can't play online anymore, for many it will be a blessing in disguise.

I for one would probably end up with less annual losses. In addition would have a reason to get off my fat ass and make the trip to brick and mortars for casino fun.

If online poker is effected I would be forced to visit the local clubs more often.

I remember when Paypal left the online gambling market, it was very tough for many and many thought it would be impossible to play from the US. Then Neteller became popular and everyone thought it would be impossible to play from the US after they left. But other options came up, they always do.

Trust me, processing is a top concern for any smart US facing operator. And no matter how many leave the US market, there will always be more. Where there is a will among consenting adults who are not hurting anyone, there almost always is a way.

    Kind Regards,

The debate on the gambling Bills on December the 3rd might shed a little more light on this subject - for those that missed the other thread, you can tune in on CSPAN and cross your fingers.

Considering that the UIEGA implementation deadline has been pushed back 6 months into next summer, it would appear that WP would be jumping the gun. It is likely they'll have to undo all the work pending Congressional approval of regulation of online gambling. Of course, it is speculative if we actually see regulation but it does appear we are headed that way. So WP and others should simma down na!

Perhaps they were working on it, and had plans in place for blocking on 1st December, but would only implement the blocking when they had to, which until this week was thought to be the 1st December.

These pre-pay cards must have been making money from gambling transactions, and clearly knew this, but turned a blind eye because they wanted to hang on till UIGEA was implemented, making it a legal requirement for them to start blocking these transactions.

The problem is that whatever comes along now may be very dodgy, and may start ripping off players, as QT appears to be doing, by taking extra sums from cards when they think they can get away with it.
