I did too. Had quite an emotional conversation with a gentleman who is a Vietnam Vet. He showed me a photo of him as a 'Gunner' when he was just 19 in Vietnam.
Thanks to all who were and are in the forces. Thank-you for your bravery.

We call it 'Rememberance Day' and the following is read out at ceremonies all over the country. We also use the same on ANZAC Day.

They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them... Lest we forget...

That was absolutely beautiful.

My son is a Marine vet. My father, a Navy vet. My son's paternal grandfather, a Marine vet. My nephew, an Army vet. My nephew's father, an Army vet.

So to all of them and all other vets, living and deceased, I say 'Thank You'. And to the parents and spouses of the vets and active duty soldiers, you have given the most precious thing you had for your country, your loved ones. Thank you.
