The 10% Refund, and how to use it properly.

Hiya: Here is a tip, in case anyone did not figure it out already. Some Casino's give you %10 or so, back if you lose your bankroll. Example: Deposit $1000, lose it, and the next day they put $100 back into your account. For some of us, we perfer this over deposit bonus.

But, some people are using this, or i should say, leading up to this, the wrong way. How so you ask?

You have your normal method of playing. You had $1000 to start, and now you are down to $95-$99 or so. Do you just keep playing normally? NO YOU DO NOT. The casino is going to give you $100, but you need to lose that last $95 or so first. So, why play normally with it?

If you were ever going to take a chance, THIS IS THE TIME. Thousands to 1 on high limit slots. 62-1 on Sic Bo. 35-1 on Roulette, and so on. Bet Big. If you Win, you get a hell of a lot more than $100 back, and in some cases, everything you lost back, and in a few cases, a big profit.

But, even if you lose it, you actually lost nothing, because the Casino will give it back to you. Plus, If you did Win, You won with YOUR MONEY, and not the Free money they gave you, so there is no hassle when cashing out.

ps: I wonder if someone will go lose their $900 on purpose, then lose the $100, and claim, "Well, that is what Winalot told me to do"? hehehe

If I may blow my own trumpet, the optimal strategy for the 10% rebate can be found at http://wizardofodds.com/general/rebate.pdf . (This is a slightly different problem, because you can stop at any point and claim the 10% rebate on your losses, but if you bet big enough, the strategy is either to reach a certain amount or to go bust, and to make the most of such a promotion, you should bet big.)
