Quick question to affiliates about Godaddy.com

I have recently registered a domain and website hosting with godaddy.com

I was wondering if it is illegal to post casino banners and affiliated casino links on my site while it is hosted by godaddy.com?

The reason I am asking is because I read something in their T&C about gambling, but it was worded in such a way that I did not understand if they ment hosting a casino site, or what.

Can anyone enlighten me on this?

(Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong forum, I do not have access to the webmaster part of this forum, so I did not find any other relevant place to post this.)

I have no idea if they allow this or not, but godaddy has unreliable, crappy hosting.

Thanks for the reply dominique. Is it common that other website hostings disallow casino banner ads on websites hosted by them?

I really don't have much personal experience with hosting companies, but I hear rackspace is a good one for casino affs, or try one of the british ones.

I use godaddy as my domain registrar. But I would not use their hosting. For that I have a dedicated server in the uk.

    I use www.coreix.net - pricey but reliable.

As for registering domains with them. I believe there are no limitations in place at godaddy.

You may have read that in the T&C's, but I think it pertains to when you are using their 'free' hosting that they give if you purchase a domain. As far as I know it does not apply to their 'paid' hosting.

Hiya: The answer to your question is, "Yes you can". I used to have my website hosted by them, and even had to contact them to help me get the affiliate banner from captain cooks casino to appear on the site.

I had the affiliate link, the paypal link, neteller link, and my merchant acct, "visa" link, on the site. All only Gambling releated. I had it there for 2 years, and will have it again when i leave the USA. So, yes you can.
