How To Take Down a Casino...

UK readers will no doubt be well aware of Derren Brown.

He's a well known personality who specialises in suggestion, psychology, showmanship, and magic - performing some truly incredible television stunts such as live russian roulette and a whole host of crazy stuff. In a very different way to the David Blaine/Copperfield's of this world, he is extremely open in terms of how he achieves the results that he does -- often explaining the psychology/preparation behind some truly incredible pieces.

More interestingly for all of us here however, he's openly fascinated with odds and statistics and games of chance and how/if these can be influenced or manipulated to the player's advantage (he famously was able to 'cash in' losing greyhound racing slips, convincing the cashier they were winners)

A couple of weeks ago, he 'predicted' the outcome of the National Lottery. Last week he did a piece on remote viewing. This Friday should be absolutely fascinating for all of us...

He's going to show us all how to take down a casino

Predicting the lottery numbers was a joke if you ask me... Just a cheap trick involving a split-screen..

"Taking down a casino" could be interesting tough..

He's dabbled with 'beating the casino' before in the more obvious/traditional card counting way:

I believe the game of choice this Friday is roulette which, as we all know, is completely impossible to predict...

    It's going to be fascinating.

I've seen that show where he predicts the numbers of the lottery.
First question that immediately raised in my mind was, why didn't he fill in one of those forms??
He would have had absolute proof, and he would have had a few millions, right?
He could have given that money to charity or something if he doesn't want it, or donate it to my bankaccount, lol.
Now I find it VERY hard to believe its not a fake.

He is a magician so it's a trick, that's what magic is. You have to figure out how he does it.

It's different with gambling at a casino or the grey hound trick as if he ends up with cash from it, it's real. That's probably why he's so fascinated with the odds.
