    Question about RTG Slots

Hi, I play mostly RTG's and often when I am in the free spin mode I hit the stop button. I was under the impression that hitting the stop button has no bearing on where the reels stop. Does anybody know if it makes a difference or not? I only hit the stop button on the free spin feature to make it go faster on some games but I would like to know cause if hitting the stop button effects the outcome then I think I will stop doing it.

The result is pre-determined. When the spin starts, the software queries the server for a generated set of random numbers which dictates what you get. Hitting the stop button merely speeds up (stops) the animation

I don't think it makes any difference, your PC sends a request to the gameserver for what reel to stop on which position at the moment you hit the start button.
Within a split second the server returns the data, ofcourse before the first reel lands, cuz without it it would not know where to stop.
Actually, the reels just won't stop spinning until the data is received.
So it should make no difference if the reels land one by one or all at the same time, the outcome should stay the same, as the data is already on your pc.

i started a thread about this also...i truly think stopping the button changes the outcome..when i asked others how they felt, most said it doesnt change the outcome..one person said the thouth it was the stupiest thing they ever heard of...

i have pressed the stop button and received some hellva results....so i will continue to stop it if only just to satifisy my self...

p.s. i read where people were saying the the new slot mayan queen takes a long time to give the feature and when they do get it it doesnt pay much...l have got the feature soooo many times and came out with good results...just about every time i got the feature i stopped the wheels my self and i received good results beacause of the same method...

so like i said i will continue to press the stop button when the feeling hits...
A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at them..!!!!!

Thank yo for your input. I always hit the stop button when I get to the feature in order to speed up the process a bit.

I have played Mayan Queen and I did not see that. I had about three features total in two different casinos last weekend. The outcome didnt change if I pressed stop or just let it run.

    Thanks

This is the same answer given by an IGT spokesman during one of those cable shows about slots and gambling. Though he was referring to land based slots, I assume it would be the same for online slots. He stated the feature to stop the reels was designed, in the case of IGT slots, to enable a player to speed up play and had no effect on the outcome of a spin. But i have had cases, in vegas.... where i could not hit a bonus and when i stopped the reels, i would hear the three "pings" right away and get a bonus. Just coincidence, i'm sure, but it always makes you wonder, lol.

Not a good way to get more play time, as you have mentioned in another thread that you seek extended play time for minimum deposits.

IMO, the stop button and turbo speed is just designed to take a players money faster
I have tried these features on fun mode and although it seems you are hitting better, I believe it's just because you are going through the pre-determined results quicker.
I have noticed on many of the new MG slots they are so slow it is annoying, so you switch to quick spin and it is way to fast. Watch how quickly your funds drop when playing the quick spin or turbo speed.
Again, just my opinion, I think the new money making tactic is to bore the player so much on regular speed to make us use the quick spin/turbo speed, stop button just to get our funds even quicker. And yes, some will make out like bandits, but most of us will pay for it.

If you read any playing advice from 'experts', they all say, to make your money last longer when playing slots... (among other things) play slowly... take your time (except in a slot tourney). They, of course, are referring to land based casinos, but I believe the principle applies with regard to online play as well.

I think that's one reason my slot money lasts longer per session at B&M casinos. I sip a drink, smoke, watch people, chat with the waitress, or the clean-up lady, or my hubby, a passing casino host, or other players, browse the machines and pay tables, and generally enjoy soaking up the casino atmosphere.
Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people.
The Cat: Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.
