Arrow European i-Gaming Conference - questions from the CM community

Yep - I'm going to be hanging out in Copenhagen this week at the EIG and WPC (World Poker Congress). As many of you know, this is where I have the chance to meet up with operators, software providers, licensing jurisdiction reps - etc., and this is where you have the chance to pose some questions.

I'll be checking this thread periodically to see what's up - so post your questions here and I'll see what I can do to get some answers. Thanks!

    Hi Bryan,

I would like to ask you to approach Microgaming and ask them this.

    1. Why do they let some of the gaming sites, that are in contract with them for using their software, get away with cheating their aff. partners? change contract terms, etc..

Tell them that this type of business partner is giving their reputation a blackeye, and making the "good" and respected microgaming gaming sites look bad and will hurt them as a business in the end game because affiliates will stop recommending them as "the best" online casino software" due to misuse and cheating programs.

I understand you really represent "players" but i know no one else who may actually see the "higher ups' face to face from Microgaming and I would really love to hear what they have to say about this "situation".

If you care not to, or can't, i understand, just putting it out there and i thank you for letting me try.

    Have a good time
    Cheers
    Pat

My question is...why are you such a chick magnet at conferences??

Here are the rest of my EIG pics (their future home will be CalvinAyre.com once it is launched in October): http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...6&l=d5db8ead67

Also, thank you Bryan for answering all my questions during our CalvinAyre.com interview at EIG, I sincerely appreciate it- you are a wealth of information and an absolute pleasure to spend time with. I'll be sure to pass along the interview link once we are live!

Bryan AKA- the ladies man in your pimp outfit, love it.

On a side note all 4 of those ladies look pretty attractive to, might be worth going to one of these events after all.

    Do casino's cheat??

I'm not sure if this is just poker operators or online casino's too. Although, from reading your forum over the past month or so the biggest question is if online casino's are rigged. You've seen the threads about RTG etc. and all the conspiracy theories. "I personally don't believe this" but it appears that some assurance from you when meeting with the software providers could shed some light on the legitimacy of their software and do away with the win/lose button controlled by some back room under paid employee controlling our bankroll. There's always going to be the rogue casino, not wanting to pay, I understand but it appears now the question is can the accredited casino's control our play?
I look forward to what you find out... Thanks!

You received my PMs...I have two new contacts there who (hopefully) be a bit more helpful. I'll be following up on our conversation tomorrow.

You are probably referring to Grand Prive. Microgaming is the software provider and is not involved with the marketing side of things concerning their clients. GP made the business decision to close its affiliate program. Speaking with others (not MGS) is seems that the outstanding affiliates were paid, and it seems a number of the bigger affs were paid.

Other MGS aff issues - Vegas Partners had notified their affs about pending changes requesting their input. Only a small percentage of these affs responded 70% had no problem with the new terms. Any affs that don't want the new terms can opt out. I believe that the Playshare situation was more or less the same thing. These changes mind you were to benefit the affiliate, and not all retroactive changes are bad by the way. If a casino were to change their 25% rev share to 35%, and make this retroactively apply to players signing up before the change, I don't think any webmasters would be complaining.

I tell funny jokes, and I pay people to like me.

Ah...your question came in too late. But I'll try to answer it anyway. Conspiracy theories are just that - theories. To squelch these, most software vendors (and/or casinos) have their software and number generators audited by reliable third parties. TST is the auditing company that deals with RTG. There is more information here.
