    William Hill Rogue Casino?

William hill get away with a lot because they are an established UK brand but in my experience their online record is little better than a rogue operation with dodgy bonuses and promotions and mysterious Jackpot wins.

    My original email.

    Dear Sir/madam,
I have just read the Daily Star article exclaiming the good fortune of someone who won £100,000 on your no deposit bonus.

    http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/view...-from-sickbed/

    How can this be when your no deposit T&C's state;

    # Please note: A player may make only one withdrawal of any winnings earned using a No Deposit Bonus, and this withdrawal is limited to a maximum amount of £200 . Any remaining winnings will be deleted from the player's account, upon making this one-time withdrawal request up to such maximum amount.

Could you please clarify that this player has received all £100,000 and if so why an exception to your own T&C's were made in this instance?

    Yours sincerely

    Their reply;

    Hi,

This is Kat from the William Hill Casino Club Support Team.

Please be advised that the maximum amount of winnings that can be withdrawn
from the £30 free bonus is indeed £200 (as stated in the Bonus Terms and
    Conditions).

However, to better assist you with your query, we have forwarded this matter
to the Management. You will be contacted the soonest possible time.

In the meantime, we ask for your patience!

the William Hill Casino Club Support Team. We are available 24 hours a day, 7

    My reply.

    dear Kat,
    Thank you for your reply.
Just to let you know I received your email and look forward to hearing from WH management.

    Regards

That was sent on July 27th and nothing since.
I have written today explaining I will be referring the matter to the UKGC, if I get a response from either WH or UKGC I will post here.
This could be a little scandal in the making.

this will be very interesting to know.
I now refuse to play a William Hill I am that peed off, I made a lot of deposits & was playing Dr. Lovemore (I think that is what it is call) put a heap through it & as soon as it started to pay out I got an error message & could not play it anymore also the credits I use trying to spin again after the error message came up dissapeared from my account. I contacted William Hill about it when it happened & they said they would contact me within 24 hours - that was 3 days ago. I liked the games, is this one called Playtech? What other casinos have the same games?

By the sounds of it, the win was a standard slot win (albeit a very lucky one) and not a progressive jackpot?

If so, by rights he should not have been paid the win.

If it was a progressive jackpot then i'd expect the casino to make an exception, since the maximum withdrawal rule is designed to protect the casino and a progressive jackpot is not the casinos money.

No it is not the Casinos money it is all the players that have wagered their own money and added to the Jackpot. (hardly fair on them)
A new customer on a no deposit bonus should actually be excluded from playing progressive games IMO and many Casinos have such a Term.

This may go deeper than just WH breaking their own T&C's and sticking Two fingers up to all the other players who had their withdrawals restricted though.

It will be interesting to see if you get anywhere Rusty, but I think this is one of those issues that will get swept under the carpet.

The UKGC might be interested though.

Not written to UKGC yet but I will do it next Week.
I sent an email to the Daily Star editor asking them for their take on it and where the source of the story came from.
Not heard from them either so I am beginning to wonder if this was a publicity stunt and if this Guy even existed.
Definitely more to this yet I feel and I will keep digging.
