I don't think the prizes are the issue. It is possible (or even probable) that you will have most submissions on the last day...in anything creative like this, you don't want to show your hand too soon.

And alas, not all of us are gifted artistically or have good editing software.

I wish I had noticed the bonus code before now...I played earlier, and would have given you a bit more of my money!

I don't think the prize is of major importance either - it's the buzz and the personal satisfaction of presenting winning designs in a fun contest.

I recall (I think it was Club Spades on one of the major poker portal sites - was it Cardplayer?) T-shirt contest last year which generated a huge amount of interest and some really great and clever designs...not to mention site traffic

Perhaps the momentum will build as the competition becomes more widely known and the choice of designs submitted by the players grows.

if anyone remembers the design the my slot comp a few months back there were alot of last minute entries, i expect they will all post something at the last minute as not to give anyone else ideas

ok, cheers. we'll leave them as is and I'll budget the cash for some other fun surprises.... when it comes to voting though, think it's best that you have to have been signed up on CM before JUNE 2009 to have your vote qualify, so we don't have any Iranian style voting box stuffing (not that anyone here would do that, just best to pre-emp even the temptation eh?).

here's one i made earlier, im afraid someone took the scissors to it and cut the arms off , not really i just havent figured out how to become a graphic artist overnight, i thought tool box was something you put spanners in

I really like this one, it's almost good for a beach towel design as well!
