    Need help with RTG downloads

I know this forum is full of techies so someone please help. I have tried to download the new Interetops Red, Casino Titan and one other RTG and all three of them won't let me load the games. Everything works just fine until I try to open a game and then it will start to download, get to about 45% and an error message comes up that says "Download Failed. Unable to create file." I have uninstalled, reinstalled, shut down firewall etc. Nothing works. I have changed to using an aircard but I haven't had trouble with Club World or Rushmore.

Anyone have any thoughts on this as CS at the respective casinos haven't a clue.

    Are you using Vista?

Uninstall whatever new RTG installs aren't working. Download the file, select Save it. RIGHT click on the installer, select Run as Admin.

And the first time you start up the casino, RIGHT click on the shortcut, click Run as Admin.

If you're not using Vista... I'm all out of ideas (unless it's your firewall or AV blocking the casino -- and sometimes they do).

Also make sure your video card has the latest drivers.

    Good luck.

Nope, not running vista. Windows XP. I think I have all the new updates for video cards etc. These are the only ones I have had trouble with. Downloaded a TopGame casino yesterday with no trouble and a Rival. Am at a loss. Have free chip at 2 of these and can't use it cause they don't have an instant casino.

I just installed a new virus software, avira, and I have to uninstall RTG casinos or my virus software goes crazy.

I turn it off to play but when I turn it on it says the RTG is trying to access the internet even when I am not running the casino.

I even moved inetbets smartdownload to the recycle bin and it tried to access from there until I emptied the recycle bin.

RTG software is always running, whether you have the program open or not.

It has done that with all my RTG's since I installed it. MG and the others are OK as long as I am not runnung the program, I have to turn off the avira virus software and re-install the rtg's every time I play.

Or I am driven crazy with warnings that want to deny access. I do not have to have the program open, just installed. It really freaked me out when the download tried to access the internet from the recycle bin, it wasn't even the program, just a downloaded installer!

What can you do? I like the virus software, but why must RTG's always try to run?

Thanks Silc. I think I will just delete AVG and see if that works. I can always reinstall if it doesn't.

I've had the same problems with free security software. I finally broke down and got Norton last year but switched to WebRoot when it was time to renew cuz it's only $39 with an online coupon and has killer spyware protection plus virus protection plus it has a "Gamer Mode" on and off "button" that's easy to access and makes all casinos run smoother. I don't know why but the free security programs I've tried hate RTG.

Your welcome...hopefully that fixes the probelm. I usually just disable it during a download, then it works fine after games installed (the AV
    G).

Ok guys, somebody out there has got to be able to help me with this.

I still can't get RTG's to work on my computer (new downloads that is) with the exception of Intertops Red which I downloaded from a CD but I can't get Mystic Dragon and Texas Tycoon to download there.

I have tried Casino Titan, Grande Vegas, and several others and get the same error messages. Sometimes it says Download failed. Cannot create file. and sometimes it says download failed. Communication error.

    I have:

    1. Changed from IE8 back to IE7
    2. Deleted AVG
    3. Shut down all firewalls during installation
    4. Cleaned cookes and run regedit and deleted previous installations.

I don't know what else to do. I have never had this problem before. The only thing different is that I am now using an Alltell Wireless Aircard unstead of DSL thru my landline. Could that be the problem? If so, why are some of the new games at Intertops working and some not. All the old games work fine there.

I have asked the rep at Casino titan to help me with this but I guess they don't have a clue either.

Maybe because the old games were installed from the CD and the new games are still trying to be downloaded from online?

If it was an issue with other casinos and not just RTG then it would point to your card, but since it's just RTG it's got to have something to do with how RTG casinos install the games - maybe some issue with writing temp files or some corrupted file hidden somewhere...? I'd try PMing Dogboy001, he knows how the back end of the RTG games work, maybe he'll know something about the installation process also....?
