Just an FYI - I've had difficulty in the past using my Net+ prepaid MC card for purchases and withdrawing funds from ATMs when traveling in foreign countries.
But while in the Seychelles, I had no problem with it whatsoever![]()

My biggest problem with the pre-paid card is-that when I update my payment type, like at an online store it charges my neteller account £1, this £1 charge is suppose to be phantom charge that is not debited from your account.
Ok, after taking another look after using my card again-it seems that I'm being charged £1 every time I use the card.
Has anyone else here used the pre-paid plastic card at an online shop? are you being charged also 1 credit per transaction? Ok thanks....
You should complain to Neteller, they are breaking their own terms and conditions which state there is no charge for purchases.
None of this gives me ANY confidence in this product, and I am not getting one any time soon, even though they have dropped the dormancy fees.
I would HATE the hassle of constantly having to contact Neteller to sort out being charged £1 for transactions, and I also find I CANNOT use the card to pay the very bills I would want to use it for, as the websites where I can pay the bills seem to expressly state they do NOT include pre-paid cards such as this as accepted methods for payment, but only STANDARD UK bank issues debit cards.
I would NOT see any real advantage in using the card other than for small transactions, since I would NOT benefot from Section 75 of the UK consumer credit act, whereas I WOULD if I used my credit card, and paid it off by transferring money from Neteller to my bank in good time for the payment date for the credit card.
Neteller have not really thought this out, they have designed a product that makes THEM money, rather than one that offers everything that standard debit and credit cards offer.

Hi, I actually found one of the £1 charges showing as declined, but as I use my account a lot-I don't know if I got it back.
But I will keep a keen eye on my account to see if my other charges get declined and fees put back to my account.
Now I made one purchase at game.com, and there was no charge? But on a whole this shop is very well priced-and seem to go all out on getting customer savings. (Through kelkoo you even get 5.4% cash-back)
That means it was not taken. It is hard to notice when it is a mere £1 because there is no running balance total, but I have had "declined" casino withdrawals and deposits show up, and they do NOT change my overall balance.
You may find ALL the £1 charges are shown as declined - best check in case there are "technical problems" with these new cards creating "accepted" £1 charges by mistake.
It is a pity Neteller did not warn customers in advance about this "feature" of the cards.

Well I'm back, VWM the £1 charges were showing as pending, now three of them have changed to declined-and the £1 charges have been returned to my account.
It's ok now that it has been returned, but these are the things that stop cc from getting awards.
Also the fact that some of these shops were charging the £1 to change payment method, is insane! now imagine changing payment method to the pre-paid card with a less than £1 balance, what would happen? Would they take the money of your next deposit/credit to the account? Then pay you back later. Not a good system!
BTW it took 8 days for the charge-back.
I have NEVER had this with a "proper" credit card, so why have it with the Neteller one.
EVERYTHING about this Neteller card is either as bad, or WORSE than a "proper" credit card.
Worst of all is the COMPLETE LACK OF PROTECTION under the Consumer Credit Act should a purchase with the Neteller card go wrong, such as the merchant failing to deliver, ripping you off, or even going bust after taking your money.
It is merely AS BAD when it comes to using an ATM to get at your money, but still WORSE than using your normal bank card, which is usually free.
The virtual desktop version is BETTER than a debit card, as it has the security of having a new number for each transaction, but you would STILL lack protection were the merchant to do a runner with the money, secure transaction or not.
Neteller need to scrap ALL the fees that are MORE than would be charged for using a regular debit card, the biggest incentive of all would be FREE ATM withdrawals, just like the banks offer.

Hi, just to let everyone know who are not using the net+prepaid card, I made a withdrawal today from an ATM and was only charged £3.
